The service could’ve been better. The waitresses seemed impatient
This is one of my neighborhood favorites. The food is always fresh and delicious and it’s such a great value. Perhaps they were having an off night, but the service was lacking—waited a long time to be greeted, for the waiter to take our orders and the drinks didn’t arrive until after our food. Hopefully, they were short staffed or it was a fluke because I love it and I’d hate for service to be a reason to not go there.
My husband and i were transported back to Cuba.
The food , the decor it was perfect.
We just left and we can’t wait to go back.
The overall experience was nice. I ordered the huevos rancheros, which came with rice and beans. The beans were bland though. I also ordered maduros, and those were delicious! I would go again but I wasn’t super impressed by the beans so maybe I would order something else. I also had a coconut coffee which was an interesting flavor ...I would probably just order a cafe con Leche next time.
Second time there, both times were great! Food great, drinks great, service greater. Definitely will be going again whenever I can.
It was my first time here along with my mother & brother , we only waited about 5 minutes until we were seated . The food was amazing !! It had the perfect flavors along with just the right portion ! I had the huevos rancheros DELICIOUS ! My mother had the tilapia with mango & sweet plantain purée she fell in LOVE & my brother had the steak which was cooked to perfection ! We had an amazing time here & the service was excellent ! I am not a tres leche person but theirs i couldn’t stop eating it !!! So great !! We will definitely be coming back !!
Mother’s Day Dinner at The Cuban Cafe. The place is very small, but cozy. The service was awesome. The staff was very welcoming and attentive.
Love the atmosphere!! Will definitely visit again!
The music was great. Initially the man who greeted us was very kind but the waitress was overwhelmed which was understandable on a busy night with only two people running food and waited no tables and making drinks. The drinks were not good I ordered a michelda that tasted like pure hot sauce. I asked if I could order just a beer and the waitress made a face when I told her I didn’t like the drink and then she told me she only put a little hot sauce so it should be fine... the food was terrible it tasted like it was frozen then microwaved. I had high hopes bc it looked like a fun place but it’s over priced and just not good.
Amazing experience, the team goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable
Good food and service and happy hour. Had a nice time.
Nice small cafe with all the flavors and ambiance of old Havana.
Food was excellent at this hole in the wall kind of place, with a truly authentic vibe. Though the place was small, it was vibrant. We felt like we were in Miami in the middle of Brooklyn!! Enjoyed the food immensely. Try the picadillo with coconut rice. Delicious!
Great food, great drinks, great service! What a great find! I mean you had me at Corellejo Tequila! The Ropa Vieja was delicious and the coconut rice was a song in my mouth! Can't wait for Wednesday night with the specials!
We love cubana cafe food was great, nice ambiance seating really is very cramped and uncomfortable.
The space was a bit crowded, I could hear the conversation of the people in the next table, they were less than 2ft away. The food was not very good either. I got the seafood soup and it was very watery, really lacking in flavor. I was a bit disappointed!
Delicious drinks and food in an atmosphere that really takes you to a different place. Cozy and friendly. Will definitely go again.
Great as always. It's my go to place when I want something good and alittle out of the ordinary.
Our drinks arrived after appetizers were finished, dinner arrived more than an hour later. The music was so loud we couldn't have conversation during our long wait. Many apologies (they said they had a lot of delivery orders) but that was all. Would never go back.
The waiter was bad; she was unpleasant and unknowledgeable about the menu. The place itself is great; you really feel like you're in Cuba. The food is good and inexpensive.
This was my favorite breakfast place when I lived in Brooklyn due to the large portions of delicious, inexpensive food. Nothing has changed -- Cubans still offers a large menu of tasty Cuban food with plantains, avocado, rice and beans, and other Latin specialties. Service is great and place is adorable.
Welcoming atmosphere, vibrant decor, friendly staff and good food. Great spot for a quick lunch and probably hopping at night!
Good drinks and nice touches that make the diner feel like s/he is in Cuba!
Fun place, come here now and again to have some fun drinks and food. Love the energy of the restaurant, lots of young people and energy.
Good food good service, energetic. Band was pretty impressive!
I am more familiar with the restaurant's branch by the Barclay's Cener. But my entree here - rice and vegetables with chicken -- was very nicely seasoned. My two guests and I shared each of their three offered soups, and each was wonderful in its own way. The black bean soup seemed twice pureed and was exceptionally smooth. The chicken soup had an amazingly tasty broth. And the fish soup was exquisite. You can't go wrong.
The staff is friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back!
