What an amazing place to eat. The food was artfully presented with so many tantalizing flavors. The deep fried deviled eggs were so good and the flavor of the pork chop I could not get enough of. Rachel provided great service and Peter was very attentive. We can’t wait to visit again.
This was the first time my husband and I visited The Arden. Our server, Maryann, was so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful with our menu choices. We had the hamachi in Lilikoi ponzu sauce and jalapeño salsa. We also tried the venison tartare with pickled red onion, with the best baby okra with Japanese pillow toast . Both dishes were super fresh and flavorful! For our entree we split the 16 oz ribeye steak which was prepared exactly to our liking- medium rare- and so tender- just perfect. The sides we chose were the mushroom rice and carrots with goat cheese and black sesame- the vegetables all locally sourced and were the purest distillation of what those vegetables should taste like. For dessert we split the Baked Hawaii - a black sesame chiffon cake topped with coconut and mango sorbet with Koloa dark rum sauce. With coffee, it was the best way to top off this fantastic meal experience! We will definitely be returning to The Arden for their excellent customer service and superb food.
It was dinner-after-a-movie night, and An Di Dzo was located close to the theatre which made it very convenient to get to. Hadn't been to a Vietnamese restaurant since Covid, a few years back, so it was nice to go to a new restaurant that served good Vietnamese food. Since An Di Dzo is fairly new, it is a work in progress, but the food is good, and it is just a matter of time before it becomes a popular place to go to after a movie. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was good. We'll be back soon.
We had our anniversary dinner here in Kalapawai Kailua Cafe. There was 4 of us. Food was excellent, wait staff very informative, friendly and efficient. We had the bacon and fig appetizer, guys had the waygu burgers, I had the jumbo (fantastic) and my girlfriend had the mahimahi with mango papaya special. Portions were generous and we couldn't recess having desserts. Kona coffee gelato, Tahitian vanilla ice cream, and the infamous lilikoi cheesecake. Unfortunately it was a very rainy night and we were on the front patio, so rain noise was an issue but definitely not a deterrent. We live in Kailua and frequent both Kailua and Waimanalo cafes. 10 stars!
We had a fantastic meal at Kalapawai with 6 friends. The food was all great and the service was wonderful. We always laugh at the noise from the street but there is nothing the restaurant can do. The shrubs are a big help.
