Booked a table for 9-10 for my partner's birthday, and this place was the BEST. Firstly, the birthday person eats free - unheard of these days. The staff were attentive and surprisingly friendly. The AUCE option includes wine and beer making for a very festive evening. The buffet of appetizers, sauces, dips, and desserts was plentiful and made it extra special. It was quiet on a Tuesday night and there was plenty of space for us to spread out. The space is also gorgeous and upscale. Will be going back, hopefully soon!

Absolutely thrilled to share my enthusiastic review of Sushi by Bou! Nestled in a cozy and intimate space, this gem of a restaurant redefines the sushi experience in the most delightful manner possible. From the moment you step into the intimate setting of Sushi by Bou, you're immediately transported into a world of culinary excellence. The cozy space creates an atmosphere that feels both exclusive and welcoming, allowing diners to immerse themselves fully in the gastronomic journey ahead. The sushi here is nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Bou's expertise shines through in every meticulously prepared piece of sushi. The omakase experience, in particular, is a testament to Chef Bou's skillful artistry. The freshness of the ingredients is unmistakable, and the creative combinations and flavors leave a lasting impression on your taste buds. The compact size of the restaurant adds to its allure, fostering an intimate dining experience that feels personalized. The omakase counter seating allows for an up-close interaction with the chefs, giving patrons a front-row view of the culinary magic as it unfolds. It's an immersive experience that elevates the enjoyment of each bite. The service at Sushi by Bou is impeccable. Despite the intimate setting, the staff manages to strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. Their knowledge of the menu, coupled with their warm and friendly approach, contributes significantly to the overall dining experience. The ambiance, though small in size, exudes a charm that's hard to find elsewhere. The minimalist decor and thoughtful lighting create an inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary journey offered here.

We've been coming to this restaurant for a while and we enjoyed dining here every time. It is a nice addition to the neighborhood. I urge the Columbia and Mt. Sinai Morningside community to go down just one block below 106th and you might be surprised.

Consistently good, attentive service. We tend to order the same things every visit: Shirodashi Pork Ramen never disappoints.
