We had a delightful dinner at Omakase Por Favor. We were looking for a fun place to celebrate a big achievement, and this came up in the recommendations from Open Table and Yelp. I was a little skeptical from the name, but looking at the photos of the food showed us lovely, fresh seafood dishes that were beautifully prepared. We decided to give it a try and couldn’t have been more pleased to find this surprisingly upscale restaurant in sleepy little Lincoln. We commented numerous times that we thought we were back in San Francisco with the flavors, the creativity, and the service . The bar-type seating was comfortable and fun to watch the food prep and talk to other patrons, as well as the staff who were super knowledgeable and friendly. We opted for the Valentine Day's special pre-set menu. The dishes were tasty and perfect proportions. Starting with the mandatory v-day oysters and a lovely bottle of champagne we could select from several, then scallops, prawns, striped bass, tuna carpaccio for the seafood selections. Also s delectable pork belly congee, and a salad course. The dessert was fun, strawberry s'mores where we roasted our marshmallows tableside, paired with a chocolate sake option that was lovely and not sweet. We don’t know when we will next be back in Lincoln, but know that it’s worth making the extra trip here for this wonderful new stand-out restaurant that exceeded expectations of these San Francisco foodies.

The only downside of the delicious food was it was overly salty and my choice of protein was over cooked. I asked for the tuna to be seared and maybe I should have asked for it to be rare. There was no red color in it at all and so then it is dry and tough. Overall it was a delightful evening.
