Had Thanksgiving table for 8 (my kitchen under construction) and was so pleased that everyone's meal was top quality. I was expecting some weak points for a small kitchen with a relatively big menu but everyone was very happy with their meal. Two people ordered the Thanksgiving meal but everyone else ordered al a carte. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. There is a lot of mediocre food being served in Clarendon, so I am delighted to find this charming, quality restaurant. We'll be back.

Great food! We went to Velvet & Rye, but have been to Wood-fire before too (also great food, a little louder than velvet, more family atmosphere). $134 for 2 entrees, 4 (alcoholic) drinks, and one appetizer (not bad, worth the price). I got the penne pasta, AMAZING. My date for lamb chops, he was skeptical ordering them, but they ended up being really good. Definitely recommend for a little date night.

The wine, food & service were top notch. Braised short ribs with Pomme puree was heaven on earth. Steak was cooked to perfection. A very well deserved 5 stars! If you love French cuisine you must stop in.

I stopped by this new chic restaurant for dinner because of Tom Sietsema's Washington Post review. I must say I was pleasantly surprised from the door with the warmth of the hosts. They were very inviting and welcoming. We were led to the "Club Room" and the decor was amazing; very comfy feel. My husband and I ordered drinks; Prelude to a Kiss and the best Bulleit Rye manhattan I've ever tasted! Lemar, our bartender, made AWESOME drinks. He was very entertaining and professional. Jose, our server, followed up with impeccable service and guided us through the menu with ease. We started with the Escargot and the Crab Deviled Eggs. Both delicious! (I need the recipe!!) For my husband's main course, He ordered the Bourguigon. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu because it was all the rave in the Post. BOTH PHENOMENAL! Wonderful flavors! For dessert, we had the Chocolate Cake and the Creme Brulee. They were both amazing. We will definitely be back. Such a lovely experience. Great job!

3rd time at Bastille over the past 5 years. Went for Thanksgiving dinner; it was outstanding. Excellent food, friendly service, and great wine pairings. Most tables are very close to each other so conversations are easily overheard.

Good food and good size portion. The interior design looks nice. Was surprised though that people visit for dinner time with casual attire (including jeans) to a French restaurant. Staff is attentive and has a good timing in bringing in the food. Loved also the flexibility on accommodating dietary needs.

Service was very friendly and professional. The food was exactly as described; a fresh take on ‘old school’ Italian American cuisine. And it was very, very tasty! The pastas came out hot and perfectly al dente, the meatballs were delicious, and everything was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.
