- PPhilGoldSan Francisco Bay Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoIt doesn ’t get better than Fete in Honolulu. From food to wine to cocktails they set the bar in farm to table fusion Hawaiian dining. The beet salad, chicken sandwich and beef tartar plus a few cocktails made for an exceptional quick dinner for two parents with a few hours of escape time. Can’t recommend Fete enough, you won’t be disappointed.More infoFête$$$$• Contemporary American• Downtown / Chinatown•4.8
- OTOpenTable Diner1 review4.0Dined 3 days agoFrom all accounts, the salmon and the chicken pot pie were both wonderful - and beautiful! Truly, ALL the dishes were just gorgeous. I had the fish and chips, which was made with blue marlin and upgraded to truffle fries. The truffles fries were muwaaah! Chef's kiss! But the marlin was not the right choice for this dish - a bit dense and a little dry, alas. The batter was fantastic! I think I'd like to return and try this dish with a white fish. The sauce it was served with was good, but not memorable in my opinion; I do wonder if that opinion would change based on the fish itself. Everyone who had beef said their beef was a little overdone. One person had a burger (medium) and someone else had the New York strip (medium rare), both of those items were just a step more done than requested, but the overall taste was good! The people who had the salmon said it was delicious! Alas, I wasn't able to speak to anyone who had ordered the chicken pot pie, but it was beautiful, served in a cast iron vessel with puffy, browned pastry. We also shared the beet and burrata salad, which was AMAZING. Would definitely get again! The restaurant is modern but cozy. This was a work lunch but I would return , perhaps for cocktails? The service was incredible. We wanted for NOTHING. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing, friendly but professional. Our food came out in a timely fashion. Parking is easy with a valet directly out front, and is only $5 once stamped and paid at the front desk of the hotel. A couple municipal lots are available well within walking distance, but honestly at the $5 rate you may as well valet! Bathrooms are easy to get to and very clean. After lunch, we met the manager, who was filling in as the barista at Common Grounds, the onsite coffee shop (also worth checking out!). He was very kind and professional as well, which I think that translates into a similar culture in the restaurant. So if you haven't tried The Dotted Line, do!More infoThe Dotted Line$$$$• Global, International• Downtown / Chinatown•4.5
