The food and drinks were fine, and the view and service were outstanding. It is the perfect spot to meet with friends or to bring visitors, as the view of the city and the lake is stunning.

Liked the layout - plenty of seating choices and we opted in the end for outside. Really enjoyed the fettuccine and my cocktail. Service was friendly if a little slow. Unexpectedly offered a complimentary dessert of beignets - definitely something I’ve never had in the Chicago restaurant. Enjoyed!

I think you have a cool venue. I came with friends the female that answers the door is really great. She slides the slide, shifts her eyes around ask you the code and it’s really fun and it adds an air of mystique. The bartender comes over slides the slide and just puts his ear there and says ,”password?” I was watching and then when they tell it, he just opens the door and it’s not as much fun. It’s a small thing, but I think it makes it really fun. The way that Nora answers the door. She really adds a little bit of theatrics and makes it special. As always, we had a great time. Love your place.

Good food and service. Sandwiches were a favorite. Nice cocktails.

My partner and I love Barrel and stop in frequently. Very comfortable seating. Lots of unique wines from around the world. Glasses are perfectly clean. I recently had a surprise party for my partner and I after we got engaged and it went perfectly! Staff were helpful and supportive throughout the process, provided excellent service, and even opened early for us to get things set up. Very grateful for their help!
