Heard invited me to test their new special burger, all on the house. That’s the 2nd time I’ve been invited to try out their new menu items. Each time the service has been excellent, the food has been delicious, and who doesn’t love free food? They really stepped up their game with this one though, the Indian inspired burger I was sceptical of it at first but it all worked really well. Loved the Chapati spiced chips too.

Food was amazing. Best burger and fries I have ever had but would expect nothing less from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. Staff were really friendly and there was a nice relaxed feel. We visited the Farringdon one. It was pretty quiet as we went on a Monday at 4.30. Would definitely go again and highly recommend

Excellent welcome on arrival, then ongoing personalised service from Johann. We're familiar with B&L and its offering but our recent experience was made special by Johann. Thank you. Arrange to meet up with a couple of old colleagues so this venue is top of the list.

The table we were seated at was a little hemmed-in but this was a small price to pay for the absolutely excellent food we had, and really good value at that. Freshly cooked delicious burgers, possibly the best I’ve ever had - the restaurant lives up to its name! Great service too, very nice to see senior staff supporting their new trainee and helping them out politely and with kindness - it shows fantastic management and it is pleasing to see staff treated well. We will be back!

Absolutely loved this place! The service was quick and everything arrived without delay. The burgers were delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. At first, there wasn’t a table for two near the music, but the staff kindly found us a really nice spot — which I really appreciated, as I love live music and a lively vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The Phoenix in Whitechapel keeps proving why it’s one of my favourite spots. The whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. Proper good food, great people and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. I went for the steak sandwich this time, and it was honestly spot‑on. Tender, full of flavour and put together with care. The fish and chips were just as impressive. Crispy, fresh and not greasy at all. You can tell the kitchen actually cares about what they’re serving. The staff here deserve a shout. They’re friendly in a genuine way, quick when you need something and they make the place feel welcoming without hovering. The ambience is warm and comfortable and the quiet setting makes it easy to enjoy your meal without any background chaos. For the quality you get, the value is brilliant. Generous portions, fair prices and an experience that feels worth every penny. Another outstanding visit, easily one of the best pubs in the area.
