Best Contemporary French Restaurants in Larkspur

I had a very fun dinner on a Thurs. night. Not many patrons from the 6-7:30 time frame (several were in the back patio area though). Les moules were wonderful. I asked for a soup spoon for the necessary half dozen slurps of the beautiful broth. Next, I had the Zazie Burger, adding bacon and cheddar to it. I'd normally never order a burger at a French restaurant, but this was extremely tasty. Took half of it home for another meal. Waiter was willing to let me try both the white and red glass of wine I had with each meal. The no tip thing is a great idea. Just like they do in Europe. Will definitely go back and try the seafood stew, banking on this past experience.

My wife and I decided to try Chouquet’s again after a bad experience several years ago. We were so happy we did. The food was delicious. The Gazpacho was one of the best I’ve ever had and both the omelette and quiche were great. We lived in France for four years and miss the joys of well prepared simple home French cooking. We will definitely be back for more!
