Best English Restaurants in Ambleside

The whole experience from arriving to leaving was perfect as always. The staff are friendly but professional, your made to feel like part of the Runa Farm family. The food was delicious and enough choice, not to little and not too much on the menu. The staff fully explained the soup, catch and desert of the day. The price was really reasonable and the atmosphere and venue itself is relaxing but up market. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening ☺️

The sausages and bacon were very tough. It said cooked to order but it was like it had been stood for a while under a hot plate. We have been a few times before and it was buffet style and always enjoyed it so hopefully this was just a one off but if it says cooked to order we would expect it to be cooked to order 😔

Apparently it had been busy during the day but was quiet when we arrived at 645 pm for a booked table for 4 . We were not expected but were found a table quickly unfortunately everything we attest order had run out my daughter got her 4th choice there was delay in eating but we had been informed when the food eventually came it was good and well cooked . I feel this is now a day time venue not an evening one and since it was a special meal for my daughters birthday felt disappointed so will not be going again

We were given a private room in which to dine. Our daughter has autism and a fear of laughing and noise. The room was beautiful and the food and service superb.
