    The pub is a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere & so was the guy behind the bar, he was welcoming & friendly. We went to dine for a birthday meal as we was recommended this pub by friends that dine here alot & the food was excellent, presented lovely, nice & hot & very tasty & I would definately recommend eating here the only down side was the waitress was nice but it seemed a bit of an effort for her to serve us & she wasn't very talkative plus we had to wait a while for the last meal to come out & she didn't explain this to us, so we wasn't sure what the hold up was & we wanted to start eating together. But to be honest my friends said that they haven't seen this waitress before & usually the waitresses are really nice & chatty.

    Fantastic service. Food was excellent, especially from the Bib Gourmand menu. Megrim Sole and Onion/Cheese tart were wonderful. Could have had an extra vegetarian option, but that’s being picky. But…and as a person who likes a drink, the 0% lager was as good as any alcoholic pint.

    Loved the meal, was there for lunch with my friend. Great service and lovely lunch. It was generous and hot and it was the set menu. Very good and love going to the New Boar. It was quiet so we could talk without too much noise around.
