Best European Restaurants in Financial District

Tremendous experience. Made reservations the night before. When I arrived, I informed the hostess that my date was running a bit late. They told me to let them know when she arrives and they would get my table. Sat at the bar to wait and was greeted by the Bartender. I told him I don’t drink alcohol and he was very understanding. I asked for a virgin Mojito and he says “I’m going to make you the best Mojito ever”. It was the best Mojito ever… My date arrived and the Hostess sat us in the front row right at the stage. Amazing seats. Waitress was very kind. I asked for the ribeye but was told that it was sold out. I ordered the roasted chicken which ultimately was the better choice anyways. The band was awesome and the experience was amazing. The entire staff was top notch. I forgot the Bartender’s name but he said that it was his last night at this location. Good luck on your new ventures my friend. I only go out two or three times a year and this was a memorable experience. Thank you.

We got the fried oysters -- to die for-- the pork ribs, and the special tomato festival BLT. For dessert blueberry creme brulee. Everything was excellent, including the glass of rose. We'll be back!

Metropolis makes one feel both that one is having an experience AND that one is at home (in the best of ways, in both cases). I think that if I could end my days eating here every night, I would be happy.

It was so much fun going back to the place where we courted so many years ago. The food from the escargot to the steak frites were delicious and the service was perfect. Thanks for such a fun night. It’s been too long.
