You absolutely HAVE to give this a try even if you’re not a fan of Italian food. Their Margherita pizza is phenomenal as is their cheese board and bone marrow appetizer. This is a food experience you’ll likely not forget.More infoPausa Bar & CookeryPrice: Expensive• Italian• San Mateo•4.7
- KKarenSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThis was our second time eating here and again it was great! The food felt unique, made with care and was delicious. The service was great. We’re not big steak people so we like to order a bunch of starters and sides and get a 6oz steak. I recommend this for anyone else who is not big on steak as the sides and starters are very unique and 6oz split between two people is a good portion, the steak is very tender and delicious, again we’re just not big on steakMore infoNiku SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• SOMA•4.8
- FFrancescoVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •23 reviews5.0Dined on 14 Jan 2025Fable is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants in the Castro, my go-to. I love their patio dining, and the food is consistently good. This visit did not disappoint. The service and our server were fabulous. Our group ordered the pork chop, which was the hit of the evening. It was juicy, full of flavor, and served with roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potato mash—a great combination. Someone ordered the cheeseburger, and it was good, consistent with prior visits. The only item we wouldn't order again was the cioppino. The person who ordered it said the soup lacked depth and complexity, and there was no crab in the dish. Overall, it was bland, even after they added the house-made habanero sauce.More infoFable - SFPrice: Moderate• Californian• Castro•4.7
