Mister A’s had a lovely atmosphere with peaceful energy, the staff was cheerful and involved, the view was beautiful, drinks were excellent, and the food was truly outstanding in every way. This was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever enjoyed, from the wagyu tartare to the braised short ribs to the creative toffee popcorn tres leches dessert. This was an absolute top tier dining experience in every way, highly recommend.

Hands down, the best bar seating, solo dining experience in San Diego! I'm dating myself here, but everytime I go to Kingfisher, I feel like Norm walking into Cheers. The bartender, Stephen and my favorite server, Mark, remember me from my last visit and make me feel right at home! I'm not a foodie. So, I will just say the food and drink at Kingfisher is memorable! I enjoy the Toki Highballs and the Rocket Fuel shots with dessert. I swore after eating the scallops at the former Craft in Los Angeles that I would never need to order scallops when dining out again. They were that good. It's been fifteen years. Well,...I saw the Scallops Meuniére on the Kingfisher menu and couldn't resist. Wow! They are my new high water mark for scallops when dining out! End your meal with a French press coffee, that you press at the table, and a Chocolate Crémeux dessert (If it's your birthday, a toasted rice pandan with a candle!) and then begin mentally planning your next trip to Kingfisher!
