Best Gastro Pubs in Brenchley

A hideaway that consistently delivers! It’s no surprise that the Hatch was packed on a Monday evening for dinner. People sat both inside and outside, along with dogs. We had a table reserved right in front of the screen, showing Wimbledon. Food was excellent, my duck was perfectly cooked and came with excellent pak choi and a spring roll. A dish of fresh mint was sourced for our Pimms and blankets were shared out when it became a little chilly. Overall excellent food and service and a joyful experience!

A very pretty country pub, with large garden overlooking a stream. We came for Sunday lunch on a hot summers day as a big group with children and a dog and it was glorious. Lovely seating under a weeping willow, friendly staff and good food. Plenty of space between the tables and a lovely tranquil setting.

Had a great roast dinner here, the quality of the food was brilliant. The cauliflower cheese was on a different level and. All freshly prepared. Will go back and try the normal menu soon!! Great choice of beers on and 3 real ales. The staff were great too

When we arrived one of our party was in a wheelchair the staff couldn’t have been more helpful putting ramps down and even changed our reserved table for a one that was easier to access would definately recommend thank you so much

We absolutely loved our visit to The Hawkenbury. Lovely venue and delicious food. Roast beef was beautiful and was a hit with all of us. Really lovely friendly staff - will definitely be returning!
