Best Gastro Pubs in Penshurst

A hideaway that consistently delivers! It’s no surprise that the Hatch was packed on a Monday evening for dinner. People sat both inside and outside, along with dogs. We had a table reserved right in front of the screen, showing Wimbledon. Food was excellent, my duck was perfectly cooked and came with excellent pak choi and a spring roll. A dish of fresh mint was sourced for our Pimms and blankets were shared out when it became a little chilly. Overall excellent food and service and a joyful experience!

It is a nice pub , with very welcoming staffs. Food was quite sophisticated and tasty. The portion size was quite good. Specifically loved the mango and feta salad and the cod main dish.

Great gastropub, we took the Sunday roast and it was delicious - especially the gravy

When we arrived one of our party was in a wheelchair the staff couldn’t have been more helpful putting ramps down and even changed our reserved table for a one that was easier to access would definately recommend thank you so much

We absolutely loved our visit to The Hawkenbury. Lovely venue and delicious food. Roast beef was beautiful and was a hit with all of us. Really lovely friendly staff - will definitely be returning!
