Everyone greatly enjoyed their meal. It was very busy at 12:45 and we lost our service to a large party before we ordered drinks and bread. We were asked just as our 2 guest were seating, but I asked to give us 2-3 minutes to get settled. Apparently he was distracted as he was pulled by the large party. Once that was in the past, service was excellent.

A former colleague and I dine monthly either in Pleasanton (Strizzi’s) or Walnut Creek (Il Fornaio). Both are great eateries albeit quite different in size and other respects. Today was Walnut Creek. Nice meal, good wines, great appetizers, particularly the calamari. And nice entrees. Topped off with a double espresso to facilitate alert travel home. All in All, another great meal.

My favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek! Fantastic food, incredible service & ambience. There is nothing average on the menu either. The escargot & carpaccio are beyond amazing. And don’t forget to end with either the tiramisu or zabaglione/ with strawberries. Absolutely the best ending to a phenomenal Italian meal!
