Best Japanese Restaurants in Minerva

This was our first time going to Masu as it was recommended to us by friends and it was unbelievably good. Our waitress Lisa was phenomenal. Her recommendations were spot on Everything we ordered was very tasty and what we liked most about it is that the menu items were unique to most sushi restaurants. I thought the price points of the manual items were very fair. Not sure why one of the lobster items was not available anymore, but the other item that Lisa recommended was just as good. I am sure. Absolutely going back and recommending this to others.

Our entire party of 11 was blown away at the quality of the sushi. We absolutely loved everything we got and we will definitely be back!

The hubby and I hadn’t been to Basil in a while (probably pre-Covid!) so he chose it for his birthday dinner. We had classic gin martinis and salt and pepper calamari to start, then ordered sushi and sashimi dinners. The cocktails were perfect and the food was fresh and flavorful. Very nice quality fish used in the sushi. Melissa (meow!) was a fabulous server in an old-school yet Gen-Z sort of way. (If you remember the waitresses at Esber’s or The Crystal Light, you know what we mean!) She made sure that the timing of the appetizers, salad and entrees was perfect and even put up with my hubby’s corny jokes with grace. We definitely will not wait so long to come back. Thanks for a lovely meal!
