Calm atmosphere.Went on a Thursday night for a bite to eat before our movie. Had poutine,chicken fingers, dessert doughnuts with caramel sauce accompanied by a few drinks. Bartender/server was very accommodating.

We had a great time at Vagabondo. We arrived early but were made to feel at home with high top seats in the bar area until they found us a table (still ahead of our scheduled time) and then our server Bremen was fantastic and super helpful and accommodating. And the food was great and portion sizes were all huge. We’ll definitely be back (again!).

Had a great experience at Parlour! We visited this Thursday as a group of 5 and had a really enjoyable evening. We were running a little late for our reservation, but the restaurant was very accommodating, which we really appreciated. We didn’t get a chance to try the cocktails this time, but the beers were great. The food was amazing and tasted freshly prepared. We tried the “those balls,” burrata, and of course, their pizza, which is honestly one of the best! Don’t forget to pair the pizza with their chilli oil—it makes it even better. But honestly, the best part of our experience was the team and their hospitality. Our host, Katrina, was amazing. She kept checking in on us throughout the evening without being intrusive and made sure everything was good. The other team members who brought our food and helped throughout the evening were equally friendly and welcoming. It was the positive attitude, welcoming faces, and genuine customer service from the staff that really made our experience a 5/5. I’m specifically leaving this review to appreciate the staff hospitality and customer service, especially Katrina. Great food is important, but a great team can truly make an experience memorable—and they definitely did that for us! ❤️

★★★★★ A true hidden gem in Ancaster! Our family of six recently had dinner at Mist, and I have to say this place genuinely exceeded our expectations. It is wonderful to finally have a restaurant like this right here in Ancaster — excellent Mediterranean food, beautiful surroundings, and genuine hospitality all in one place. We tried several dishes from the Mediterranean menu, including muhammara, hummus, baba ganoush, za’atar, along with a large mixed BBQ/grill platter. Everything was fresh, flavourful, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. The grilled meats and vegetables were excellent. The karak chai deserves a special mention — easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, aromatic and authentic. We finished with the baklava, which was equally impressive. It had exactly the right level of sweetness — not overly sweet or heavy, but still rich enough to be a proper dessert. A perfect way to finish the meal. What impressed us just as much as the food was the hospitality. We came as a family of six with four children, and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Everyone was smiling, attentive and genuinely helpful. We never felt rushed, and they made it very comfortable for us to enjoy a proper family dinner. And then there is the ambience and attention to detail. This is where Mist really stands apart. From the tile work, lighting and furniture to the plates, cutlery, teapots and karak chai cups, everything has been thoughtfully selected. The interior genuinely reminded me of the elegant Mövenpick-style five-star hotel ambience I have experienced in Liège, Belgium — refined and luxurious, yet still warm and comfortable. It was also wonderful seeing families and people from around the Ancaster community enjoying the restaurant. There is a relaxed, upscale atmosphere where you can actually sit down, enjoy your company and make an evening out of dinner. For me, that is what makes Mist special. Instead of driving elsewhere looking for good
