Best Modern European Restaurants in Sunderland

What a lovely experience for my daughter’s graduation. The food was delicious and we were brought a complimentary glass of bubbles to celebrate the occasion. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the owner was always checking in to see if everything was ok. Thank you we had a fabulous night

Five of us went for lunch. Everyone agreed that the food, service and surroundings were superb.

Had a lovely meal at Dobson and Parnell, following my daughters graduation. service was very good and the food was excellent. Nothing super fancy, just good products cooked perfectly and with excellent accompaniments. Can't fault it really. if only all restaurants at this level were such good value. only adverse comment would be the wine list didn't match the food quality. Selection a bit simple and dominated by too many big heavy reds. There are so many interesting wines out there to match your excellent food, go find them to raise to the next level

Went for the house menu, which is reasonably priced and excellent quality. Pre-dinner drinks outside in the pretty garden on a summer's evening to be recommended.
