A warm and friendly welcome awaits overlooking the Wear in the ongoing regeneration of the Sunderland riverside. Inside the Sheepfold Stables is Greek/European fusion restaurant Ember which offers a well stocked wine cellar and a sensible selection of starters, mains and desserts to satisfy any palate. As well as the efficient and attentive staff, you will certainly not leave Ember hungry as the portions are generous and prepared with care. Ember is also dog friendly and they were happy to wrap up the bones from my main for Gypsy to enjoy at the end of the night. A very nice meal in a restaurant with a great ambience. Well worth a visit.

Excellent service and information about the dishes on the Menu from the serving staff,and the food was cooked to perfection.

Went for lunch with our two grand children , the menu was good for everyone , front of house very knowledgeable and attentive and food and presentation excellent .

Went for the house menu, which is reasonably priced and excellent quality. Pre-dinner drinks outside in the pretty garden on a summer's evening to be recommended.
