Although a hot day we decided to walk to the Greyhound for an early dinner on Thursday (18:00) and were thankful of the effective air conditioning. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were really good and reasonably priced with lots of specials on offer. It was a pleasant surprise to have a good range of english wine to choose from including the Simpsons Railway Hill Rose which was delicious.

My fiancé and I had a lovely roast dinner at the Squirrel Pub in Farnborough on Sunday! Plenty of meat and potatoes, Yorkshire was cooked perfectly and lots of gravy! We gave it a good 7/10, lost points because the beef was chewy and the portion of veg was tiny! Bonus though is you can ask for more potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire’s for free! I personally would have preferred more veg. It was good value for money and a nice atmosphere even with the footy on! Would definitely come again.
