Absolutely delightful visit to The Ivy, Chichester to celebrate a friend’s 70th birthday. From the pleasant greeting at the door to the charming servers we have a lovely time. The food was delicious too. The event was crowned by the delivery of a mini birthday cake for the birthday girl, she was absolutely delighted! Thank you all very much 😊

The fixed price, Sunday Roast Menu, in these surroundings and with , very decent, live music has to be regarded as something of a bargain in this day and age. The main course portions are on the large side of generous - the meat, roast beef, in particular, but it was also the tastiest beef I have experienced in a long while. All of the food served here is perfectly cooked and of the best quality, last July we enjoyed a Sunday barbeque and it was as good...... ......Fourteen months on, we had the same, charming, waitress who recognised us, the musician was also the same gentleman as last time - clearly not only the customers appreciate the offering here at the Broolands Hotel. The downside of such a good starter - calamari - and voluminous main course, is that on neither occasion have we been able to manage a sweet, but I have every reason to expect them to be of the same quality as the rest of the food served here.

We had a wonderful anniversary meal the food was presented well and plentiful ,my steak was the best I have had. The surroundings and ambience were pleasing and staff attentive. A couple of tips to management we had great problems reading the menu even with mobile torches due to darkness and it would be nice to have longer time between courses. But thank you all for a lovely meal and the extra touches to make it special
