Best Seafood Restaurants in Montrose

It is a fantastic place to eat. The food is excellent and Bryan is by far the best server you will ever have. Even the valet parking attendant is exceptional. Don't miss this plac3 if you are I n Houston.

This was our second visit to Clark's Oyster Bar - and it was yummy! We get to enjoy New England Oysters (Maine specifically) and in spite of the distance, they are always fresh and crisp and the horseradish shavings are our fave! We tried the dressed oysters this time and they were fabulous. Clarks is our go to place when we are not in Maine to enjoy some wonderful seafood!

Eddie V's never disappoints - great food and service, coupled with a great band and entertaining atmosphere -- we used to live in the neighborhood and miss our weekly diners. We come back whenever possible - GREAT EXPERIENCE!!

Our overall experience was great. We dined her to celebrate our youngest daughter’s12th birthday. A supervisor or manger can’t remember but she was super warm and welcoming. She engaged my daughter when we walked in and also at the table. She noticed that a huge party was seated directly behind us which could have caused the servers to bump into our seats and disturb us during dinner. She walked over to us to let us know that she was moving us because she wanted us to have a trouble free experience. Her thoughtfulness made a huge impression before before our meal or drinks. Our drinks: My daughters ordered a Shirley temple, and the pineapple mojitos that they enjoyed. I enjoyed the expresso martini which was a little sweet for me but it still taste great. My husband had the royal sidecar which he said was strong but sidecars are typically strong but good drinks. Appetizers: Chef Crafted Chargrilled Oysters w/ Garlic butter and Parmesan were seasoned well but a bit dry (I’m a New Orleans Native so I may be biased here). The Chesapeake Bay Style Crab Cakes were unexpectedly huge lots of lump crab meat no fillers so good! The Spicy Tuna Poke was so good. Entrees: Shellfish mixed Grill (x2) was good per the girls. My husband had the 10 oz Center Cut Filet Mignon with an added lobster tail. The first steak was overcooked but they took it back and provided a medium steak he said it was meh and the lobster was good. I had the Lobster Thermidor which was so tasty I didn’t share. The lobster fried rice was spicy but good to 2 out of 4 people at the table. The Parmesan Truffle fries was gone in 5 minutes the black garlic aioli sauce made it exceptional! Dessert: We had Baked Alaska. The presentation was unexpected. My daughter loved that it was set ablaze. The meringue and chocolate cake was so good, the ice cream was made with peppermint but that’s not my thing. Since it was my daughter’s cake and her opinion matters her she devoured the entire cake and loved it.

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the marriage of some dear friends at McCormick & Schmick’s. Despite being a last-minute decision, we were fortunate to secure a reservation, and upon arrival, we were promptly seated. From there, everything exceeded our expectations. Our server quickly took our drink and appetizer orders, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. The appetizers arrived, and everyone was thrilled not just with the flavors, but with the attentive service as well. When the main courses were served, we were once again impressed, the food was exceptional, with the ribeye standing out as the best I’ve ever had. Surprisingly, though, the real star of the meal was the mashed potatoes. They were unlike anything we’d ever tasted. Curious about the secret behind them, we asked our server, and moments later, the manager stopped by to congratulate the newlyweds. He explained that the potatoes were Danish-style and shared how they were prepared. As a thoughtful gesture, he even returned later with a sweet treat for the couple. The entire experience was flawless, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We’ve long been regulars at Truluck’s, your competitor, but after this outstanding evening, we are excited to make McCormick & Schmick’s our new go-to spot.
