- JJeremyYorkshire •6 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoWhen we walked into the beautiful restaurant there was a DJ playing very loud modern music in the bar area. It was so loud and seemed so out of place. When we sat at our table we could still hear the music booming and people were having to talk loud over the top. The menu choice was very modern and very limited on the main courses. I chose hummus which did not come with any bread. This had to be ordered separately. How can bread not be included with a dip! My husband couldn’t find a main course he liked so ordered a starter and chips. The food was served in very small portions and I felt it was expensive. Although we both enjoyed our mealsMore infoThe Restaurant at The RefugePrice: Moderate• Global, International• Manchester•4.3

- SSophiaEdinburgh/Midlothian •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI regularly go to Bar San Juan, I would go there over any other restaurant. If I can't book a table I will prefer to attempt a walk-in on the day than book somewhere else. Their food is amazing and those that disagree so not actually appreciate what good and genuine Spanish food tastes like. The staff are always friendly and attentive, even though it's a busy restaurant. If you don't order alcohol you can easily get a very good amount of food for £20-25 which definitely fills you up. I would definitely highly recommend this restaurant.More infoBAR SAN JUANPrice: Moderate• Tapas / Small Plates• Chorlton•4.9
- RRooneyLondon •2 reviews4.0Dined on 7 Nov 2024Not as good as previous visits, but has apparently been recently taken over. Very disorganised, no drinks menus available, no knowledge of what was available. Drink spilled when delivering, but no offer to clean it up. Service very slow. The food however was good. Tonic water appeared in a glass, rather than in a bottle with a glass, which I found strange. The gentleman who I presume was the cook was somewhat dishevelled, with dirty clothes - a bit off-putting. Would I return? Possibly, but I think I’ll give them time to ‘settle in’. This place used to be superb, so I’m hoping it will return to that level.More infoThe ShrubPrice: Moderate• British• Brighouse•4.7
