Food very good, service attentive , but: long wait for first course,, while restaurant not crowded at all, disappointing!
Ambiance was lovely!
An excellent experience once more at CUT. Food was as expected impeccable.
Staff has to be improved
Nice decor and impressive dining area. Starters were excellent, but we ordered a cocktail which was slow to arrive. The mains were steak, which was very good, and the chicken, which was just good. The sides were also decent, although the spinach was below par. Service throughout was slow and inconsistent, and it took ages to get the bill.
Delicious steak in a beautifil ambience. Highly recommended.
Great food and service as always! Love this place especially for Sunday brunch!
Great steak and trimmings. Enjoyed by all. We will be back in the future
Wonderful experience. The service is out of this world, and the food is a dream.
Good food good service great location but very expensive!!
I'm giving it the best because I came here for dinner alone on my birthday, and the people there gave me the best experience I could ever have. Felt like I had friends even tho I was alone. And he didn't even know it was my birthday! 15/10 would recommend to go back there.
What an amazing place!! It's not often one can say this but everything was exceptional - the staff, the earl grey tea, fresh orange, the food (from taste to presentation) and of course, the art deco, including the washrooms
The food is yummy ! Specially the fries ! & mushroom risotto !!!!wow!
Cocktails are on the expensive side but yummy !
Amazing steak and food!! Service could be improved. They are SLOW on drinks/wine.
I like that place. Good food and service.
Ate some fantastic food (Japanese Wagyu Steak with black truffles for me and my wife ate American Wagyu steak). Great service from friendly and extremely helpful staff.
I visited here recently for my birthday and I was blown away by the amazing service and the ambience of this restaurant was great. It was very fitting for a special occasion. The only negative I would say is that the only halal steaks available are the premium Waygu ones which are in the region of £100. So I would only go here for a special occasion however I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and the food was so good! My waygu steak was the nicest steak I’ve ever had it was like butter. The side dishes were huge and also really good. The chocolate fondant was spectacular!
Brought my partner here for his 27th birthday. We eat out alot in London and had high expectations from CUT...honestly it was some of the best food we have ever experienced. Wine list is incredible and atmosphere is great. Our jamaican waiter made our night perfect- he was friendly, attentive and caring so THANK YOU hugely to him. Unfortunatley, i couldnt say the same about the receptionist who seemed not bothered at all to greet and this sadly reflected the complete opposite of what we experienced inside. On our way out, she seemed much more preoccupied chatting with a guy so again we felt unwelcomed as i was handed my coat. This was the only downfall..everything else was spectacular!
Took my girlfriend for her birthday. Food was unreal and would love to go back again!
Slight disappointment when they forgot to bring birthday dessert with candle out especially after leaving note on booking and then further asking waiter. Would strongly recommend!
First of all, value for money doesn't figure in this review. If you choose to eat at CUT - with a "celebrity" chef associated to it, and a prime, Park Lane location - you know what you're going to get. We'd booked this for lunch on a Saturday for my wife's birthday. Having eaten at CUT in NYC, I had high hopes for Pucks' new venture at 45 Park Lane.
It's a big space, CUT. Ceilings are high, making the room feel very spacious. The background music caused some amusement; everything from Adele to The Eagles. Anyway, it's all about the food at CUT, and it didn't disappoint.
We chose from the a'la carte, but if you have deep pockets, the steak choices are very impressive. My wife chose the Dorset Lobster and Crab Louise Cocktail, and I opted for the Porcini Mushroom Risotto. Both lovely, but the Risotto was huge. Could easily have been a main.
As it was a Puck restaurant, we both had the Pan Roasted Filet Mignon, cooked medium. This came with fries, and we added some Broccoli and mushrooms as sides. Can't complain about the steak; cooked as ordered and great to eat. Not small, either. Dessert seemed out of the question, but there was no rush from the staff, so after a good break we opted for the Caramel & Pear Baked Alaska, and the "Brûléed Banana Cream Pie". The Alaska was not quite what my wife expected; "disappointing" was her verdict. The Banana Cream Pie was bonkers; couldn't believe how light it was, and the brûléed banana on top was wonderful.
The wine list is extensive. Having a "60 under sixty" gives you a clue as to the breadth, depth and markup of the list. Our first choice - Meirnet, "Synchronicity" - wasn't available; last bottle sold "last night", according to the Sommelier. He did recommend another South African red - Blank Bottle "Retirement @65" - which was more expensive, but was a worthy replacement. Maybe take the "Swig.co.uk" label off of the back of the bottle next time, though.
Would we recommend? Yes. Just be prepared for the bill.
First night in London on family holiday and our meal got our trip off to a great start. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Our son enjoyed his first-ever soufflé and wants one every night on this vacation.
Absolutely stunning service and food. Huge wine menu was such a bonus. Best restaurant I have visited so far in London. Will definitely be visiting again!
Meat was outstanding, efficient and discreet service. Great experience.
As always excellent food and friendly service
The ribeye is highly recommended and the crab starter was excellent
Live music was way too loud and very distracting. I would not have come if I had known about it...it wasn’t going when we started
We had to leave mid dinner due to mise running past our table and our feet at five occasions . We panicked once we noticed other guests had notice this as well so we left. We thought the restaurant would do more than just remove service charge from our bill, as our entire evening was ruined thanks to this. We Will not come back.
I love Wolfgang’s Spago’s in California. This may be my new favorite restaurant. Wonderful meal from start to finish. I would come back to London just to eat here. Amazing.
Superb as it has been every time we have been there
Food, service and ambiance was excellent
CUT was everything a special occasion restaurant should be. The service is unparrelled and the food inventive and fantastic! Our waitstaff person, Jenna, took great care of us and knew just what to recommend. We'll be back!
This is our favourite restaurant in London.
Definitely the best steak, cooked and seasoned exactly how I like it ( and I'm really fussy with it), plus a lovely attentive service.
I come here pretty often with my husband and we are always happy with everything.
And the wine list is really good too!
I recommend it to anybody who wants an amazing steak and wine.
I would give them a Michelin star.
The Wagyu filet was melt in the mouth tasty. Highly recommend this Cut.
we visited Cut @45 for my husbands birthday. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with the wine list and explaining the different cuts of meat. The steak was very tasty and cooked tho perfection, we were very happy with the sides and sauces also. I would definitely recommend this place for a good hearty steak.
I don't think I have ever paid over £400 for a meal for two people until I came to this restaurant. I will never do that again no matter how good the food is, and good it was.
It is hard to criticise this place. It has everything going for it- great food, lovely ambiance and outstanding service. A bit pricey though but you would expect that from a place as this.
