The food was very bland and didn’t taste fresh. Service was so so. Cute restaurant but the food was really disappointing
We saw HUGH GRANT
Their pasta dishes were tasteless.
for a date, the place is far too noisy. for a nice evening out with friends - perfect
Excellent. Highly recommend the Linguine with Crab, Chilli & Parsley.
Excellent all round
Taking our pcx
A local friend recommended this place and it was fabulous. Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the food was absolutely top notch.
Fabulous food in a beautiful setting - refined, not too loud, the focus is on the food, the wine and your conversations with your guests. Only slight negative was how quickly each course was delivered. Can’t wait to go back!
We have been to Daphne’s several times now and have previously enjoyed it very much. However our lunch today was somewhat marred by the particularly rude behaviour of the Maitre D who, on being asked to repeat himself when responding to a question about the preparation of a dish, rolled his eyes overtly. Rude.
Daphne’s was a wonderful place to get together with friends the food was fantastic the service was perfect. The atmosphere was lively but still allowed for conversation to take place easily. Highly recommend Daphne’s.
Good food, very expensive and way overpriced. Slow and poor service. Disappointing overall experience.
Good meal and experience overall. Veal chop was great but pasta didn’t meet expectations.
Great atmosphere, fabulous food and outstanding service - what else could you wish for. Thank you Daphne’s.
Best in London. We've been coming here for years. Open late for after theatre. Excellent food, wine list and service. Open door wall seating for an open air experience.
I personally find this to be the best Italian in central London. A better ambiance and clientele than most local restaurants. Very professional staff and just the right sized restaurant located in local Chelsea area away from the rush of London. Frequented more by locals than tourists like myself.
The manager is rude. His priority is his grand ego, not the customer.
Returned after many years, still largely classic Italian dishes very well done with good service, very pleasant ambience and reasonable prices, given the quality and location
Daphne’s never disappoints. Legendary.
We like Daphne's very much.
Nice décor. Very friendly staff. Convenient location.
Good selection on menu.
It was the first visit for our friends and they enjoyed it.
Great atmosphere and service! Very comfortable yet nice! Fun, lively environment but allows for conversation. Hope to go back on next visit!!!
Great diner, very pleasant service. Carte menu is extensive and varied. Dishes were very good. Only negative comment may be is that the dining room is a bit too old fashion but the place is great. Next time I will try the bar which feels more casual. Will definitely come back
Service is excellent like Always.
Very trendy restaurant.
Price is high but good quality food
My risotto primavera was excellent. Knowedgeable sommelier. Buzzy atmosphere but not too loud. One member of the royal family was at a nearby table.
Delicious food, awesome atmosphere and amazing service, I would absolutely recommend!
Good atmosphere but expensive for what it is
Fantastic food I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Loved everything about my experience! Great staff!
A truly wonderful place...
Nice food, nice atmosphere
One of the best pasta in London and beautiful setting.
Father’s Day. The best. Memorable. Ordered my dish TWICE!
Fantastic food and great service
First time and won’t be the last
One of the great Italian restaurants in London.
We remember the Daphne’s of old which was such a special place to go for lunch or dinner. It was intimate, the decor was chic and understated and the maitre d knew everyone’s name. And of course the food was the main attraction. The current Daphne’s has lost all of that special charm and our evening was a huge disappointment. The size of the restaurant has more than doubled since our previous visit and it was extremely busy on Sunday night. There were plenty of staff but service was a hit and miss affair. My husband received his beer immediately yet my Prosecco took 15 minutes to arrive and our bottled water was tepid not chilled. For starters two of us had the minted pea soup with ricotta. My daughter badly burned her mouth with the first spoonful but then got a mouthful of cold soup for her second try!! It had clearly been heated in a microwave but not stirred through to ensure an even temperature throughout. My husband ordered the beef carpaccio with rocket and Parmesan. He couldn’t see the beef through the layer of very thickly sliced, rather rubbery ‘Parmesan’ and the beef was so thick it could hardly be advertised as ‘carpaccio’. My other daughter ordered the sushi starter which should have been a red flag really as why would an Italian restaurant have sushi on the menu?!!!! Anyway, she paid for it later as had terrible stomach cramps all evening. Main courses faired slightly better with two of our dishes being acceptable, the pappardelle with wild boar ragu and the cheese filled tortolini (typical Italian dishes I suppose!). My husband had the cod which was bland and tasteless, resting on a bed of something we didn’t quite figure out. Cabbage? Fennel? It was so pale and rubbery with no taste whatsoever it could have been anything really. My ‘sushi’ daughter chose the meatballs which were full of flavour but extremely dry with hardly any sauce and served with very dry and hard roasted potatoes. We declined dessert. The bill was £250.
I am already looking forward to my next trip to Daphne's. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was energetic, the service was excellent and our waiter made great recommendations. My lobster pasta was heavenly and although I was full, I had to finish every bite (Yummy). I also managed to make room for the polenta cake which our waiter recommended as being light and tasty - and he was right. I will be back !
Just simply great.
Service and ambience always stellar, and this is what gives Daphne's staying power. Food was excellent too, although pasta was not as hot as it should have been (seemed like it had been sitting out). My wife had the "can't miss" Dover sole, and I had a Hake special, both of which were very good indeed. This is a go-to restaurant as I live in Chelsea, and Daphne's never disappoints.
Absolutely delicious food, gorgeous setting and charming service,I love this restaurant.
