DC Prime Steakhouse
Our mission: to provide dining and culinary excellence to every guest we serve.
We serve only USDA Prime Beef, which is the top 1% of all beef in the United States, chosen to meet or exceed our owners' rigid standards that include tenderness and taste. All of our beef is supplied by Consumers Meat Packing of Chicago, IL...purveyors to many of the finest steakhouses in the United States. The same superior standards apply to our fresh seafood, sourced direct from North Coast Seafood of Boston, MA., our whole lobsters, from the cold waters of Maine and our Mero Sea Bass Steaks, overnighted from Honolulu Fish Company, Honolulu, HI.
Another great meal at DC Prime. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great meal, service and atmosphere.
Not many places in Loudoun that are comparable
Great and great
This is the best restaurant around. The service is outstanding. The food is outrageous! My favorite appetizers are the steak fries and the friend calamari. Their steaks are USDA prime certified and cooked to perfection. My favorite sides are the lobster mac & cheese and the potatoes au gratin. I highly recommend this fine establishment.
Our server, Stu, was supurb and attentive; anticipating our needs before we had to ask. This was my first time patronizing DC Prime but won't be my last.
We had a very nice time at DC Prime. I rated it as four stars because I think that for five stars the experience should be exceptional. I love a restaurant where the server competently guides you through the menu with confidence and discretion. I’d like to be educated about the food preparation. It’s a delicate balance, but a great server is skilled at this. Having backup from other members of the team can really help to achieve seamless, five star service. Overall, very nice.
Had a great dinner as always!
Always a great time. These guys know how to present a top notch experience all around and will always be our go to spot for a great evening.
The place is loud. The food was not as expected for the price. My boyfriend asked for a medium-well NY Steak and it was completely cooked and dry. Food was ok taste wise. Nothing out of the ordinary. Service was excellent.
Delicious steak and fish served by attentive staff in a comfortable environment.
Good selection with well prepared dishes. The lobster bites appetizer is wonderful. Especially like the filet and lobster tail combo. Good crab cakes if you want an optional way to do surf and turf. For the money I definitely prefer DC Prime over Eddie Merlot.
Great service and exceptional steaks but the salads and sides were unremarkable at best.
Rick Crowe and his staff always deliver a fantastic dining experience! My opinion? This is the best restaurant in Loudoun County hands down!
DC Prime in Ashburn was a great experience. I was there for New Year's Eve and to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The food was excellent and Matthew our server was great.
My husband and I went for New Years Eve with another couple. Everything was great from the time we arrived until we left. We were seated at our table promptly upon arriving at the restaurant, and we were early. Our waiter, Wayne, was fantastic with the service and recommendations he provided. The porterhouse was excellent and prepared perfectly as ordered. All the sides were excellent too! We were never rushed. It was a great experience.
Our server, Stu, was amazing. He was very mindful of how we were doing and took care of us as though we were the only people he was serving. The steaks we're outstanding. One of us ordered the pork chop which is not one of my favorite foods, but their pork was great! I will consider ordering it next time. Thank you DC Prime.
I have been to DC Prime many times and have always been pleased. They have the best steaks in the region and excellent service. DC Prime is my "go to" restaurant for any special occasion, date night or just when I want to treat myself to an excellent meal.
By far some of the best food I have eaten in Loudoun County. Even ordinary food like Calamari took on a whole new level of exquisite taste. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment. Our waiter Rockne was excellent.
Great food and service. A bit loud but great experience. We will be back again soon.
I made the reservation 6 weeks ago. The pedi al table was unacceptable but the hostess, Kelsey, was great and found us a great table for Christmas Eve. Great people and service.
The service was slow and the place was not terribly crowded. Two of us ordered steak, it was tough and dry. I literally took home a doggy bag.
We recently went to two other steakhouses -- Ruth's Chris and Capital Grille -- and were left wanting on a few fronts including service, atmosphere and even the steak. So we tried DC Prime for our son's birthday dinner and it blew the other two away! Very relaxed, fun atmosphere - not stuff at all. The waiter was a perfect mix of explaining and helping without being a nuisance. The food was outstanding and the price was actually better than Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille. And knowing it's owned an operated by a local makes it even better. Go!
Everything was perfect. Can’t imagine a place I would rather go for dinner!
Food was amazing! If you really know your steak, be prepared to suffer through the marketing bs that DC prime makes their waiters tell their tables. Our particular waiter was pushy - but that doesn’t seem to be a common experience after talking to friends who have been. Overall a great outing because the food is so excellent!
Everything was great. What can I say. My new favorite steak house.
Wonderful experience, Rick the owner runs a great business
The difference sometimes is just how they take care of you and our serber Hana did an exellent job !!
Very impressive service. The steak was delicious and cooked as requested. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
The food was absolutely exquisite! The filet was the best I have ever ate. The lobster was delicate and tasty (cooked perfectly). The wild mushrooms were a bit bland-but nonetheless, good! The place was packed with the affluent, the pretentious, the posers, the Joneses and all their minions...I'm kidding, I didn't pay attention to anyone. I only looked up from my plate twice (and that was to take a breath)!
I will be back!
Have driven by DC Prime on Rt 7 many times and wondered if it was good or not. Well, finally made a reservation for a friend's birthday celebration. We were a group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us no problem. They have large round tables throughout the restaurant. We started at the bar pre-dinner and they have a fabulous happy hour from 4-7. Few dollars off of cocktails and 25% off bottles of wine. You had to select from a certain list but they had some good ones on there. Their reserve wine list is also very top notch. If you are into wines, I am sure you would be able to find something. We drank Camus Cab Sauv - was fantastic! The food was outstanding! I have recently eaten at some steakhouses in Tysons - not good and will not be returning to those establishments. My husband and I split the ribeye tomahawk - was cooked to medium rare perfection. I kind of wished we hadn't split it but then I would have been way too full. The sides were also quite tasty. They are large enough to share with the table - I think we got 4 sides? Can't remember - I was in a food coma! LOL. Anway - I highly recommend this surprising gem of a steakhouse and will definitely be returning.
Its streak house, so you would expect to get it right. Simple medium rare ribeye totally over cooked, and then the most uninterested server possible, who decided to argue when I pointed out that it was not all that special. To be fair the Onion soup and lamb chops my wife had were amazing, but still you would expect more for $200 bucks.
Not expecting to go again.
Starting at our entrance, we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. The food was superb, the service attentive and the atmosphere so friendly. Definitely a restaurant to revisit and recommend. You won’t be disappointed !
Food and service was excellent!
Hostess was lackluster at best, and had no real excitement to be working, and showed little appreciation for our arrival. We had an early dinner reservation, and while many seats were open, they sat my party right near the kitchen opening - really? When I asked about one of the wines from their robust wine collection, for some reason the waiter tried to steer me to the "less expensive" standard $18 wines - - Was my suit not expensive enough for you? Did I not look old enough to afford an $75-90 bottle of wine? I asked to speak to the sommelier instead (as I was slightly offended by the waiter), and when I asked him about the wine in question, I don't think he had a clue. For the first 15 minutes, I was not impressed at all. So, now to the good... Food was OUTSTANDING; two of the best steaks my wife and I have ever had. Sides were plentiful and the mash potatoes and the mushroom sides were inventive and quite remarkable. As the patrons filed in over the next hour, the place became as loud as a teenage dance club, and we were glad to have eaten like royalty, and were glad to be departing. 10 stars to the cooks in the back, and from now on, if I ever wanted to go full tilt for a steak - I'd order carry out...or go with Omaha Steaks and do it myself.
Great meal and a great waiter!! Lots of fun with friends!! Still talking about the Australian lamb and senators pie!!!
Where’s my POINTS??
We had a family celebration and the whole staff made us feel like celebrities. This is by far the best restaurant in the DMV.
I’ll never go anywhere else for a special occasion. This restaurant is absolute perfection on their delivery!
Excellent food. I had the bone in ribeye and macaroni and cheese. If I had to change anything I would only suggest a more expansive pinot noir list. Only three to choose from. Definitely five star establishment.
Wonderful server! Can’t remember his name but I know he was born in Haiti and also from Florida. Thank you!
I have to admit that for the price I expected a bit more from this restaurant. I took my husband here for his birthday and the first thing I noticed was how the hostess was dressed. It was actually a bit jarring - and normally I don't care what people wear but it just clashed with the decor and feel of the restaurant. She was in a very short summer romper and fishnet stockings at the end of November. Whatever, to each their own. We get sat at a booth and the service is just OK. Our appetizers took a while to come out (shrimp cocktail and oysters) and when it came time for our main courses we had to ask for steak knives. The time spaced out between courses was OK - a bit longer than I would normally like, but it was OK. When it came time for dessert the coffee was brought out about seven minutes before the actual dessert. Then we had to ask for spoons. If this was any run of the mill or chain restaurant I don't think I would have minded, but when you pay this much for food you do kind of expect a great level of service. The food itself was nothing to write home about. I've had better steak from Wegmans and the Bernaise sauce was just really off to me. The portions were very generous though - we had plenty of leftovers. My husband had the ribeye, but he felt the same way - it was OK, but he expected a bit more. I guess I had just built it up in my head a bit more so the whole experience was bit lackluster.
Thanks for a wonderful evening for my mother's 80th complete with a personalized birthday card from the manager. Service was informative and efficient. Everyone loved their meals. Thank you so much for helping us make her day special.
Loved the atmosphere of this place. Food was very well prepared though a bit pricey. They pay good attention to detail as I was there to celebrate my birthday and my party was able to order a custom cake from the restaurant baker. Not sure how they are on a weekend but on a Tuesday evening they were quiet and very accommodating.
