Set Lunch Menu
Very good lunch but very expensive
One of the best valued and delicious Sunday lunches I have had in London
Lovely service great food, waiter was friendly but not too much
I asked for a table outside. Was made to sit at a table in the pavement made to wait 20 mins still no table. I had no choice but to eat inside the restaurant was empty but was shown to a table nit set for food no tablecloth or napkins or cutlery no condiments.
I booked this place because I’ve been many times before I had been treated very well this time the staff and manager were less than perfect. However the food waiting staff were good as was the food quality.
I will not however be going there again.....
Always a pleasure coming here and no less so with the current COVID19 adjustments that have had to be made.
Only reason for not scoring the food as Outstanding being the afternoon menu is fairly limited in terms of mains, but all excellent quality.
Always a reliable and pleasurable experience.... excellent SD implementation so no worries even for lunch/dinner with members of the older generation..... civilised and great set lunch menu! Bravo and a big thanks to the very professional staff....
As always, perfect waiters, perfect food, perfect time
Lots of space, very prompt & courteous service, interesting menu and excellent quality food
Really outstanding lunch, and incredibly good value at £26 for three courses including a generous Sunday roast. My steak tartare, roast pork (rolled belly, with perfect crackling, lovely vegetables and a huge boat of gravy) and English cheeses were faultless.
Service was as always warm and friendly, my only note would be that staff seemed to not all be wearing their masks correctly; I am actually perfectly comfortable with staff not wearing masks at all, but if they are going to wear them it should be done properly.
Otherwise, very enjoyable and in fact easily one of the best Sunday roasts to be found in central London.
Fantastic service, waiting staff so helpful and friendly.
Had a minor problem with 2 if our dishes but was sorted quickly and manager made extra effort to apologise.
Lovely evening, missing plates for bread and mix up with drinks but overall was brilliant and will be back soon :)
Lovely food and service would come back
Great social distancing and use of technology to view the menus but most importantly the food was, as always, delicious and the team there were helpful and friendly
Excellent as always - social distancing and PPE not at all intrusive
Had another great night out here. Lovely table and service, mince and potatoes is a classic. Even the bread is fantastic. If you like a Bloody Mary they’re fab. Highly recommended.
Outstanding post-lockdown experience - staff lovely and providing exceptional service while keeping us safe. A simplified menu but still tasty and the atmosphere was quieter than normal but still buzzy. Appreciate the challenges of providing hospitality at this time and this was a great experience.
It was great to be eating out again post lockdown. Staff managed to be charming even behind masks which is quite a challenge. Service was excellent and the food was good - standards done very well. The soufflé was a bit bland but the monkfish curry and the Eton Mess were delicious. Even the soup was commended by my guest. Slightly lacking in atmosphere as it was early on a Tuesday evening but that’s not the restaurant’s fault
Good for Sunday roast. Social distancing measures are effective, service courteous.
Perfect Sunday roast. Sat outside, service was fine (if a little slow to start) most importantly food tasted amazing.
Perfect Friday night drinks spot!! Excellent back up for when your Soho House membership is frozen because you are poor
Always a great shout for a good value late night dinner in the heart of soho
Nice atmosphere and good food. Good service as well.
Great service, food was amazing
Nice place, but poor food. I had a nice vegetable soup to start, but the main course chicken salad was unpleasant. All mayonnaise and lacked any refinement. Very basic. My fellow dinner had a "Heritage Tomato Salad' and it contained baby tomatoes similar to those you get in Tesco for a pound. Very expensive for what the food is. Nice interiors and attentive staff.
Terrific Team, Fantastic Food and Award-winning Ambiance. A serious winner.
Wonderful restaurant wonderful staff. Amazing food and good value. We had the set lunch a roast 3 courses for £30. Mike Ellis (a fellow Scot) was professional and lovely. The restaurant menu embraces UK food at its best.
The food (roast) was too cold - both this week and last. The roast potatoes were also dry - texture / taste of reheating. A shame as Dean Street Townhouse usually produces the best roast in London.
Great to be back at Dean Street Townhouse - food, drinks and service superb as usual. Had already run out of pork roasts though at 1pm! So clearly still in high demand
We went for breakfast and had a lovely time. In these Covid days the staff seated us well spaced from others, menu via QR etc. But that didn’t diminish the great food and service provided. Lorne sausage and potato scones were delicious!
Always a pleasure when visiting Dean St Townhouse
Food was good, slightly limited menu but understandable in the circumstances.. all service was good and felt safe. Like it here as they are very friendly.,had fish pie which was tasty. Always like it here
This really is a great spot for breakfast or brunch. It's a nice setting, with very good service and delicious food - I can heartily recommend the vegetarian version of a full English, particularly the hash brown - truly delicious. The down side for me was the tables which looked tatty and need either upcyling or replacing, or maybe just the addition of a table cloth; and the cold draught from the open doors, however, allowances made as this is most likely an anti Covid 19 measure. I will definitely be back, again and again.
Dean Street, doing their best to make things work in lockdown. Lovely Sunday Lunch
We sat outside and it was lovely!
Food was excellent and the service outstanding. We’ll definitely be back.
First night out since March and Deanstreet Townhouse didnt disappoint. It was a great evening full of fun food and lovely champagne. The service was outstanding as always and along with happy helpful staff you couldn't ask for anything else. Thank you
Serving staff were excellent, and very personable even with good COVID measures in place. Salmon with samphire and cucumber was delicious, as was my husband’s steak. Star of the show were the desserts though - I had the chocolate truffles and my husband had the lemon drizzle cake. Both were exceptionally good! Will be back in future definitely.
Lovely place and friendly staff.
We went for the Sunday roast and it was really well cooked and the portion for the price really good value for money. Will definitely be paying another visit!
The restaurant is great offering a straightforward menu and wonderful ambience. It was very warm in the dining room and thankfully staff adjusted the temperature. I highly recommend Dean Street Townhouse for a romantic dinner or going to a nice place with friends.
Fantastic atmosphere. Fun and attentive staff and delicious food. Perfect !
