Had a lovely time with my family here on saturday night, food was amazing and staff were awesome, good valve for money, would definately go back.
We booked a table for 8:15. When we arrived there was only one other table occupied. The staff seemed very casual, totally disorganised. There was no atmosphere. Level of actual service was appalling, no napkins, really like nobody had a clue. I noticed on the menu there is a student night on Wednesdays, perhaps this is their busiest night bd abuse it was totally dead on Saturday. We only stayed for starters, although we had intended to order mains. The food was ok but nothing special.
I have ate here around 10 times now and I have never been in anyway disappointed, food is always incredible, service is always impeccable and my experience is always great, have recommended to many family and friends and they have all been amazed at the food quality and aesthetics of the restaurant, one of the top restaurants in Northamptonshire for sure!
Had the place to our self for a birthday. Friendly staff and great food. Recommended the brisket.
lLOVELY MEAL FOR DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY, GOOD COCKTAILS, NICE WINE AND VALUE FOR MONEY FOOD.
The food and service was absolutely spot on we will definitely be going again.
There was absolutely no one when I visited, which was perfect since I had to do some reading. The staff was nice and food was ok.
Great quality food, nice selection of meals, friendly welcoming staff, nice atmosphere, good value for money. Will definitely be going back.
The food was tasty although it arrived at three different times. One meal arrived about 15 minutes after the first dish was put on the table, as this was a kids birthday that child felt awkward about sitting there without food for so long. It took 30 minutes to get 6 milkshakes. Waiting staff were friendly. The restaurant was not at all busy and so it was a bit confusing that everything took so long and arrived at different times.
Food was good for the prices, although food salty and greasey at times. Overall really good and will definitely go back 😀
Great cheeseburger, excellent chilli dog, and great chicken guojons. Service quick and friendly, and although the usual 'hike' in price for a glass of wine, good value for money.
I went to the Dept. opening night before it changed to an food venue and have always liked the style of the old building. This was my first time since the change from drink to food and I paid a visit with a friend. The building and ambience was as before and the service was good. The food, as I had hoped after seeing the images on FB was excellent. I opted for the Blue cheese standard burger with spicy fries and a vanilla milkshake. My friend had the cheese burger, fries and a vanilla milkshake. We both thought the taste was great and reasonably priced. Overall we agreed it was very good, the only downside was that it was very cold on the night that we visited and there was only 1 small heater. So good service, great food - just a tad cold for us on the night...
First but not the last time here. Really glad we chose to eat here, and the staff went beyond being helpful to our 8mth Daughter.
Lovely service! But food was awful! My chicken burger was swimming in grease! The lady who served was lovely and took my meal of my bill but it left a nasty taste in my mouth all day :(.
Although the staff were very friendly and courteous the food and ambience were disappointing. Given we were there on a Friday night you could have been forgiven for thinking it was 2pm on a drizzly weds.
The menu looked and sounded great but did not live up to expectations and the lack of other diners didn't add to a celebratory atmosphere.
It's a shame because none of us had been before and we were all looking forward to a reason to visit and recommend again.
Poor service we were one of three tables dining but it took ages to serve food there were three staff but they were not very we had to prompt for a round of drinks. When food arrived ine burger was cold they did turn ot ariund pretty but overall I was disappointed
Lovely food, slightly quirky but very enjoyable. Would come again if in the area
I was really looking forward to going out for Mac n cheese. Sadly for me the food was not great, chicken goujons were okay, onion rings had no taste or seasoning and the Mac n cheese which arrived in a foil tray was swimming in butter. I gave a overall 3 stars as the burgers appeared to be a better choice on the menu and those dining with me did enjoy them.
Decent food, served quickly. One bug bear though - the menu said the fries were served with a light paprika seasoning - there was no sign of this at all. Find it annoying when food isn't served as described on the menu.
I was thoroughly disappointed with my first experience at this restaurant and it will probably the last time I go to this place. Although the setting for a burger outlet has potential and this is let down by the below par service.
I ordered the feast platter for one, the wings were good along with the ribs, but everything else was a let down. The fries were way too salty and when I told the server, he just apologised and did nothing. The brioche bun was burnt like they were preparing an offering for some deity, at this point I could not be asked to complain any further as they would have turned on their heels and walked away as occurred when I complained about the fries. This establishment has a lot to learn about customer service - I had planned to take my employees on an evening out to this establishment but I will tell my friends to avoid.
The food arrived quickly and it was lovely, service was wonderful and would definitely recommend this place.
First visit and it won't be the last. Great burgers, great sides, great service. Very reasonable price. We chose cheeseburgers which were delicious, fries, coleslaw, onion rings (proper ones) and Mac n cheese. None of it disappointing. all came fresh and hot. Not much more to be said. It's an American diner style restaurant, very laid back and some good music. Definitely worth a try.
The food was lovely and the staff were even lovelier. My daughter couldn't eat all her wings so they brought her a milkshake to take away! Really lovely staff.
The food was great but let down significantly by the very slow service. We had tickets for the theatre and missed the support act, so don't come here pre theatre. The burgers though were very good and great value, the curly fries were good, though far too salty. We would go back but only when we are not in a rush.
Had a great stag do meal out on a Saturday. Booking the table was easy online. The menu had variety and the food was good value and good quality. Table service was top quality and the beers on offer were great.
This place should not serve food. The seating area was basically two benches about 2 ft away from the bar. This is a glorified pub. We took our seat, after 4 punters removed their drinks and coats from our "reserved table" and stayed for no longer than 5 minutes before leaving. Crowded, loud, and right on top of the bar. Completely uncomfortable atmosphere. Even if we had stayed (not likely!) the choice for food was dire. Would never recommend to a friend. Awful experience. It was like sitting in a alley way it was so cramped.
Excellent value for money, great food, good atmosphere. Bar staff were a little inexperienced but that will come. We were looked after very well.
We had wanted to visit and so when the opportunity came to celebrate my husbands birthday I booked a table online. Booking system was very straightforward and easy to do, with a email the day before we were due to go reminding us of reservation. On arrival it wasn't clear if we needed to wait, sit or ? A member of staff was at the bar and I shouted to say we had a booking for a table at said time. He pointed at the table in the corner and said to order the food at the bar when ready. We ordered our food and drinks and sat and awaited our food. There was only another couple of people in the restaurant and so ambience wasn't great, particularly as we were sat right next to the bar. Food arrived promptly but meat in the burgers seemed dry and chewy, however onions rings were great! Milkshakes weren't great and certainly not worth the price charged. We ate what we wanted and left soon after. It's a real shame as the place could be amazing, buzzing with life etc., but for us we won't return. Sorry!
The food was tasty and good value (cheese burgers only £7), however I would say the restaurant is more suitable for lunchtime rather than evening (I went on a Saturday night). You place your order at the bar and the food is brought to your table. The menu is quite limited. I think they would benefit from adding a starters section and maybe even consider having a separate lunch and dinner menu to make it more suitable for evening meals.
Queued up for ages to place my order, the people in front of me were refused any beef burger because they had ran out of beef!! A meat order turned up as I placed my order so was fortunate to have a beef burger, but it took an hour till it arrived. Slow service, then hurried us at the end of our meal by saying they are closing soon! The chicken wasn't cooked very well as the batter mix was still uncooked around it, so it was unpleasant. The chips were awful I've had better ones in McDonald's. Didn't kick up a fuss as I couldn't be bothered with complaining but won't be going again.
Staff both welcoming and friendly, burgers very tasty with a double 4oz patty much better than any fast food option! drinks selection to suit all ages with milk shakes, root beer plus beers and wine etc.. Overall ticked all the boxes
A very friendly welcome. The menu was short, which saves time when deliberating. The food was beautiful and the service was attentive but not intrusive. The meal wasn't huge which suited us and we finished quite quickly but were not hurried out. we were made to feel very welcome.
There is free parking at the shopping car park (St. Peter's Way) behind the restaurant after 6:00pm. We will be eating here again very soon.
Very good meal for 2, very good value. The meal was over quick so it would not be a good place for an occasion with the meal as the main focus.
excellent for meat eaters, great tasting food, quick service
Great service, excellent quality food, good selection of drinks, single cheese and bacon burger with fries was very tasty, onion rings were some of the best I had eaten, good and friendly service, excellent value for money, will definitely return
We visited on a Friday and I hadn't been able to get us in for anything except 5.30 so I assumed the place would be packed but we were the only ones there! The service was friendly and helpful and our order came quickly.
I enjoyed my salted caramel shake although it pretty much tasted like a nice vanilla milkshake. I had the mushroom and halloumi and pepper burger which was nice but could do with some relish or something to jazz it up. My sister had a cheeseburger which was a generous 2 burgers (you can opt for just one for £4 instead). We also tried sides of onion rings: crispy and tasty; and Mac and cheese chip pot: a tub of macaroni cheese with some fries underneath the gooey pasta. Mac and cheese was good but fries were so covered in the cheese sauce that it wasn't really worth then being in there. However the food was fresh, tasty and well presented in a fast food style. All in all this place is fun and value for money. Recommended.
