Love the service, love the food. Been to many michelin restaurants in London and Dinner remains one of the most trusted one.
Sat down 9-30 food arrived 10-45 hmmm long time .. taste very average nothing special no idea what fuss is about don’t mind paying when food and service good this was not .. wont be back
Fantastic service and culinarily experience in the lovely restaurant.
The best 3 courses of food I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating! Wonderful selection of wines which complimented the food perfectly. The service was impeccable and all the staff were very friendly, talking us through all aspects of the meal. Myself and 4 friends all agreed it was far and away the best eating experience we’ve ever had.
Everything is great and worth to have dine with family or special person.
Good dinner but unexceptional, given the eponymous Chef and the cost. Paté, Octopus, pigeon and tipsy pudding well cooked but lacked “wow!” In my view
Good food nice environments and very attentive service, perfect
Fillet is great. Others are OK
Excellent food and concept. From starter to main, they exceeded beyond expectations. However, they failed at my beloved fries even though it is sides. Still a fantastic night.
Top raw food, perfectly cooked, but presentation in the plate could be nicer for a 2 stars. Too noisy+we seated next to the counter....did not affect the moment, but afterwards I thought I was expecting more class from a 2 stars restaurant. It is the size of a brasserie, so I understand the challenge, but won’t come back, whatever the quality of the food is.
Do not even try to leave without ordering the Tipsy Cake, and even better try the suggested wine pairings
My first Blumenthal experience and it was simply awesome... the design was fantastic and the staffs were accommodating and enjoyable. The highlight was still the food which has its unique taste and flavour. It was a awesome experience and really love the fact that they still laid out the origins of the food dating back to the 19th and 18th century.
The service was good with staff was friendly, attentive & prompt
Amazing restaurant, staff run like a well oiled machine, food out of this world. Views from restaurant over hyde park. This is somewhere everyone should try.
Food was good and the setting was beautiful. The service was not to the level of a restaurant in this price range.
Good food , good service, always my favorite place.
Quality is not always following quantity. 2 stars is a stretch, fork maybe.
What a disappointment, the food was cold and the service was dismal.
We were really looking forward to our dinner. We don’t come to the UK often and try to go to as many top restaurants as we can when here. For us it’s not just a bad meal but a wasted opportunity...
Anniversary and vacation
The ribeye beef isn’t juicy even I ordered medium rare level .
However the only thing which is so good is meat fruit !!!
We took my parents to Dinner for my mums 60th Birthday and she was overjoyed when she saw where she was going (we kept it as a surprise until she got there). Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. The service was outstanding, my mum said it was the best meal she’s ever had. And was so pleased with the decorated plate at the end. Lovely touch. Would highly recommend
Some dishes were very good such as the pork chop and octopus but the others were mediocre. The wine was nice and the service was nice but it is expected at a restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental hotel and a place in the top 100 restaurants in the world. We had reservations just after the fire that put them temporarily out of service. Now after a years wait and our next visit to London we decided to try again. But was a little disappointing.
Superb service and food. Everything was amazing
An incredible dining experience. Excellent food with wine pairing. Amazing service. Beautiful atmosphere.
Service was not great for a 2 Michelin Star restaurant...had to keep topping up our own water the whole meal and the staff were just not as attentive as they should’ve been. Food was delicious but again for a 2 Michelin Star I would’ve expected something with more WOW factor.
Excellent food and service plus we chose amazing wine.
Very pleasant service, amazing food.
A true delight to dine in a Michelin starred restaurant that manages to get all the essentials right simultaneously.
Atmosphere, unpretentious but impeccable service and incredible food.
The only problem was having to choose from the fabulously, innovative selection that didn’t rely on the ubiquitous ‘taster menu’.
With all four in our party having different dishes for all courses, wine selection could have been a problem but the twelve different glasses recommended by the sommelier proved to be perfect (except one final fortified wine - sorry😝).
Overall was fine, food was great but it is definitely not a romantic place and ambiance . Very noisy for a 2 starred Michelin restaurant
Fairly noisy for a restaurant of this rating!!
The Service team is absolutely outstanding!
Way too noisy for such restaurant - we went for our wedding anniversary and I would hardly hear my wife across the table!
Great food as always!
Mindblowing originality, great execution, incredible taste.
The Mandarin Hotel is a beautiful Hotel and perfect location for this restaurant. The smells that greet you when you enter are just Devine.
The staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. There’s no sense of being rushed, which we liked. It was a little quiet when we arrived which made us feel a bit uncomfortable as there was no atmosphere, which improved as more people arrived.
Each course was explained and you felt you could ask as many questions as you liked and they would only be too happy to help. The food was outstanding and I no fault with any of courses. I had the meat fruit, which was yummy and they gave me extra toast which always a bonus. I then had the lamb and cucumber which was just perfect. The goats cheese cake is something else, accompanied by the best tasting figs I’ve ever had. Pure delight
Thank you for a lovely meal
first, I want to report that the dishes served by the friendly and helpful staff were very tasty but no more than that. as part of a romantic weekend with my wife, I expected a lot more. impossible to get snacks with the aperitif. no extensive menu but only 3 courses possible. no adapted wine possible (you can't drink 3 bottles with 2). this is not what people expect from a 2 star michelin restaurant. Even more, I can immediately deliver the Michelin inspectors 10 addresses in Belgium that have no or 1 star and that in comparison should immediately have 3 stars.
Excellent service and wine pairing was very good.
Overall, this experience was slightly dissapointing, but only based on direct comparison to other Michelin two star restaurants. The ambiance is a nice change of place to most restaurants of this tier, as it's more laid back and welcoming, with a good level of ambient noise and a fairly open view into the kitchen area (the dress code is also less formal). The location in the Mandarin Oriental is unbeatable and our servers were all incredible - super friendly and very attentive, keeping our bread plates and our drinks full at all times. The food itself was the only slight downfall (if you can call it that) here, as the mains are simply not up to par with most restaurants at this level. We had the lamb, the pork and the pigeon...and all three were quite nice, but not at all memorable in any way. The meat fruit, which we had as a starter, was the highlight -- incredibly innovative with a wonderful depth of flavor. Likewise, the desserts were exceptional, and the tipsy cake is a certainly a must for anyone visiting.
