There was nothing healthy on the menu...zero...disgraceful. I ended up having eggs benedict with salmon and ended up sick for two days, likely from additives in the salmon. Never again.
Decent place all in all. Bring ear defenders if you don't like noise.
Bathroom is quite feral.
Food is always great but takes forever to come out, even when the restaurant is empty.
Service was very slow throughout. It was quite loud and dark. The food, however, was tasty.
They got a simple food order wrong and didn't have lobster roll on the menu anymore, but they have photos of it all over their website. That was disappointing.
It's a neighborhood tavern but I don't plan to return. We only chose it because The Paris Cafe was booked.
This was an amazing place with great seafood!!! My family and I went and tried a lot of the food which was so good!!! It's a fun place and I would definitely go back again!😁😁
Too loud. Unprepared for our reservations. Menu not the same on website.
Incredibly poor service. A number of patrons attempting to flag down staff. Music was too loud for conversation.
Service wasn’t that great; my water glass was never refilled. Too noisy for older family members who are hard of hearing. The veggie burger is not good...
Music was so loud it was difficult to have table conversation
The restaurant was located in a unique part of town. Inside was clean and trendy with 3-4 shared bathrooms. The service was good and the drinks tasty.
For an app, we got the firecracker shrimp. The app was really good and the plate was filled with them. There was a lot of breading on the shrimp, so we started peeling it off, but it was still good.
For dinner, after reading the reviews, I got the fried chicken sandwich, but didn’t share a love for it. It was fried, so very greasy and lacked flavor. The roasted broccoli as a side made up for the sandwich though!
My date got the fish and chips. He said the fries were great, but the fish had way too much breading but the flavor was good.
We’d go back for drinks due to the fun ambiance, but not dinner.
Great food! Best fried chicken sandwich I’ve had in along time. Quick and friendly service.
Place was very good for couples and nightlife peoples. But i recommend the food was not that good if you really think to have a place to have some delicious food.
Went for oysters. Those were very good. Other food we ordered was just ok which made it overpriced. It was loud but they gave us the option to be in a quieter area. That was nice. Server was ok. She lagged a little on coming back for a follow up drink order. Her personality was flat. But at least she was consistent.
Definitely will return - the steak frites and oysters are amazing
Food was great, poor service. Waiter rarely checked on us.
Bait and Switch!
They tout themselves as a seafood restaurant and the menu on Open Table is full of sea food. A huge selection of fried and grilled seafood 28 items of seafood total. We traveled from Upper East side and upon arrival got our menus....there was basically NO seafood, I counted 5 sad items..... and was actually more of just bar food type of selections like buffalo shrimp. The majority of the menu was more bar food. Items like Burgers, Sandwiches Nachos, Chicken Fingers etc).
I asked the manager about the Seafood Menu...
his reply "That's our winter menu".
My reply "It's almost August"
Way too loud! Boorish men yelling at each other to be heard. Made it hard to enjoy the meal.
We really enjoyed lunch. The fresh oysters were excellent, as were the baked clams.
Great food, great beer, great service, child friendly.
Showed up to my reservation, but Dorlan's said they didn't have a record of my reservation. I showed them my open table email with the confirmation but they said they didn't have me on for the day. They had plenty of "reserved" tables but said they were for other reservations. They seemed very anxious and not very accommodating. Made me wait while they set up a very small table for my reservation. Not very satisfied with the way the restaurant handled it.
This is the second time I've had brunch here and it did not disappoint. Excellent home fries and an interesting twist on eggs Benedict. Would recommend
Menu was completely different than on the website and it was very limited. Service was abrupt and unfriendly.
Met a small group of friends for drinks and a meal. The service was very good, both at the bar and at tables. Not much of a wine selection but the waitress did explain the selection is basic by choice (plus we're a bit more selective in our palate). We were completely fine with that though. The ambiance was shattered by a very obnoxious young woman at one of the tables shouting and at times swearing with her friends....didn't have an inside volume knob. It seemed clear from looking around that quite a few people noticed / were bothered, and even our waitress commented. None of the staff took the step to ask her to turn it down. We really liked the place but it could have been better.
Staff was very friendly throughout our meal. Charbroiled oysters were delicious. Lobster roll and fries were outstanding. They did not skimp on lobster. Lobster mac and cheese was a bit salty but my 10 year old enjoyed it. Originally came for fried oysters and clams as it is on the menu that open table provides. Very disappointed that they do not serve this at all. Open table needs to revise!
Our Brazilian waitress was the best! Food was served hot and it was delicious ! We will definitely be back!
The mixed, fried seafood combo was perfectly cooked, crispy, not rubbery. The price was a little high for the position we received, though. The beverages choices are plentiful, the Happy hour selection is minimal. The best value is a beer or wine and half a dozen oysters for $15. Since this was a work event, the location is spacious, and the music want do loud that you had to tell all night to chat with coworkers.
We met friends here with our three kids. There is not a kids menu but there were good choices from the regular menu (sliders, mac&cheese, spaghetti, grilled cheese). The food for the adults was tasty. Sliders with all the fixings were awesome and the lobster mac and cheese was yummy.
They were surprised at our arrival as there is only a paper book for reservations at the door. Food came to the table cold. Who likes cold eggs?
