Dos Caminos - Park
This location provided delicious food and wonderful service! Lovely ambiance!
Good food, Great margaritas.
Made a reservation for two. Many tables empty and was told to wait a few mins. Then the hostess brought me to a table for six and i told her I didn’t make a reservation for 6. Had to wait again for the table and I saw my reservation on the screen that clearly noted 2 people. Took forever to get our drinks. Food was okay nothing impressive at all. Very bland. The price was not worth what we paid. Drinks were decent though, but didn’t have time to order another cause the first ones took so long
My niece is moving out of New York City. This was a good bye dinner.
Good food but bad service
Food was bland, service slow, expensive for what it was even by New York standards. PASS
Food is decent but pricey. Expected for New York.
I travel a lot. It’s hard to find really good Mexican restaurants. This one is really good. 23rd and Park Ave.
We decided to eat lunch out today due to the balmy weather and it was great.
Dos Caminos is always good but absolutely loved my waiter. I unfortunately didn’t get his name. Great guy with an excellent sense of humor. Made the night more fun.
The food was great but the service was subpar. I wouldn't come back to this location due to how dirty it seemed. Multiple drinks and pitchers brought to our table had mayflies in them.
Super drafty during the polar vortex. People were sitting at bar and dining room in their jackets with hoods up. Service was slow and food was eh....
Nice service and fantastic margaritas. Try Durango or Jalapeño. Very crowded but service was excellent. Greeting at front desk warm and welcoming. Had tortilla soup and kind of pricey ($19) but good 3 carnitas tacos. Wonderfully cozy on a freezing night in NYC. Will definitely return.
I have been there many times .the service was so bad , unlike the past . Couldn’t get drinks , and my coffee was cold . Didn’t find my server to be that pleasant . I do think it was just a bad night , as I said I think the place is great .
We’ve been to Dos Caminos several times before, but this was the first time our experience was disappointing. To start, the fish dish that my wife wanted to order had run out, and it was only 8pm. Then we had to wait a very long time for our entrees. When I asked about the side of cornbread that I had ordered, I was told they had run out of that as well. Portion sizes also seem to be getting smaller. The chile relleno I ordered for $19 was only about 6 bites worth, and the rice and beans intended for sharing by two was barely big enough for one person.
The waiter Caesar was the beat ever. My best friend and I did the bottomless brunch. The drinks were strong which is how we like it. Caesar made sure to kept the drinks coming and didn’t mke us wait. The food was great too! Such a fun and very awesome place to go with friends or family!
They did not provide chips and salsa when all other Dos Caminos locations do provide. They did not honor my reservation after I specifically told them it was my name and that I booked on Open Table. This has since changed and Open Table fixed it. Otherwise the food and drinks were good.
A poor version of Chili’s
Wonderful service. Food was good, but not as great as past times.
We could NOT get any service from the bartenders- he was somewhat burdened. We had to ask for menus after sitting at a high top for 15 minutes. No one ever came to our table. We got up to be seated in the dining room only to be taken right back to the bar area. The bar area was dirty, the menu was limited as the kitchen was not in working order. A NY’er of 15+ years we decided to pop into Dos Caminos while visiting NYC and getting out of the rain. We should have trusted our gut instinct and went across the street to Hillstone where the food, service and ambiance consistent! I will not be returning to Dos a Caminos again.
We love Dos Caminos, specifically this location. We come here every time we visit New York. The food is exceptional. The service was remarkable! Manager Sarah greeted us with a friendly smile and seated us right away in a cozy booth. We lucked out and were served by Oscar. The Viejo OG server from when this location opened 20 years ago. Top notch! Thank you Dos Caminos! We will be back soon!
Birthday Celebration
Our waitress was great and accommodated our requests.
Been here a few times already. I still enjoy it. Happy hour is always fun. Drinks are delicious. Food is great
Value was fair at best - the so-called large guacamole is deceptively small.
Entrees took a good while to arrive, probably about 30 minutes. My dish, Oaxacan Shrimp Quesadilla, was a mess of sauce and cheese and sautéed vegetables. Not a great texture. The taste was ok, but soon it became too much.
Mixed drinks were probably the best part.
Fresh. Delicious. Fast.
Great service!
One of my favorite places.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We go here every time we visit the city ... at least 30 times. Food was great, atmosphere great... our service this time was sub par... I was surprised as this is a rare occurrence at this restaurant .
Loved the food. The waitress was fantastic at dealing with our requests for allergy information and ensuring the food was free of the allergens.
Fab place.
always a good experience here! great food and service.
We have eaten here in the past with our child with food allergies. They are generally very accommodating, this time we did not have a good experience. Both the server and whomever he was working with in the kitchen seemed put off by the allergies and “didn’t know” what was in most of their menu items. They served my eleven year old a plate of burnt, dry, and unseasoned chicken with some peppers. The server was also extremely slow. We will not be returning to this location.
Great environment to chat over guacamole, sangria and some good food. My friends and I always gather here!
I was disappointed by the change in the brunch menu. I was looking forward to a chorizos dish but I was thwarted.
The service remained welcoming and I enjoyed the huevos rancheros, only only dish that appealed to me in the brunch selection.
Food was great, service was good but music was way too loud. Everyone in place seemed to be yelling over the music making it even louder. Very difficult too have a conversation even at a small 4 top. Great food and ambiance just take the music down 2 notches
Usually good food here, just off tonight on food and service. Never usually the case
Have been to other dos Caminos locations multiple times and always enjoyed the experience. Came here with a bunch of friends who were visiting NYC because of my past experiences. Very disappointed. Food was tasteless, no salt, no spice, nothing. This was quite surprising as the past few times it was quite good. However, Drinks were good as always. Everyone’s food came out at different times. Multiple sides were forgotten and had to be asked for more than once. Drinks also came at different times when ordered together. Only redeeming thing was that I am gluten free and the waiter was knowledgeable and I did not get sick. Really wished I picked somewhere else to take my friends to show them some good NYC food.
Very good!
I have a severe peanut allergy and I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that put a peanut ingredient in their enchilada sauce. I only asked because there were sesame seeds in the sauce when it came out, otherwise I would have ended up in the hospital. I didn’t see anywhere on the menu that some products include peanut ingredients.
It took us over 30 minutes to get our first drink for a bottomless brunch. The service was the worst I have experienced in the city.
Still good after all these years, they still have great service and food.
