Very overpriced for mediocre food... disappointing
Delicious food! The wait staff was accommodating and so was the chef. We had numerous dietary restrictions, they did not hesitate to accommodate
While the main part of the restaurant is beautiful, we were seated in the back which had no ambiance, was under a spot light and awkwardly placed. The eggplant dish we had was very good, but the burrata was underwhelming and the paella was very disappointing. For the price, it wasn’t even close to worth it.
Delicious food, attentive service, pleasant venue, recommended
Food and service were great and the space is beautiful. Extra bonus points from me because the menu prices include gratuity... there is no tipping at the restaurant as the staff are all salaried. The service didn't suffer one bit. Definitely worth a visit!
Always a great dining experience from Chef Rui and the Douro Team! Flavors, food pairings, presentation and atmosphere were excellent! Love the new space as well.
I love this restaurant and always really enjoy it. Food is good, wait staff very attentive- cant say enough good things about it. Highly recommend it.
An absolute delight: The food is great and varied, the staff is superb, ambiance is warm and inviting. Thank you Duoro!
Great location great food. Quite noisy
Bring back the experience from the old location! Quality, pricing, and noise level are all radically different in this new location. How could there be such a change in paella if there was a move up the street!
Douro should have stayed in old location with old menu and former waitstaff. This was our second visit in new spot. Service was very poor again. Server had no familiarity with the menu, and also very pushy to take orders. There are only 2 paellas now but the quality has really gone down. The noise level is deafening. Wine list is very overpriced. The food pricing is now higher and one expects a tablecloth or placemat. Overall very sloppy. Let the world know when Douro returns to the old ambiance with better food.
All food was delicious in the new setting for Duoro. They did a great job in the new location. Always a great place.
I love the new location! The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is delicious. I feel our server tonight was , most likely, new and inexperienced, but tried hard. This was our third visit to the new space, and probably our eighth visit overall. We will definitely be back .
Very loud! Small portions, overpriced. Our waiter was not friendly, will not deviate from menu.
Food was excellent. Beautiful interior. We stayed for drinks at the bar after dinner, but standing and socializing was difficult as we were constantly in the way of guests and servers walking back and forth. Seems to be a better place for gathering for a seated meal vs. drinks at the bar.
The apps were pretty good, but we all ordered the Marisxo Paella, and the chorizo / salt were overwhelming. The desserts were great, though!
5 star decor with 5 star service and 3 star food. A nice place for a date if having good but not great food is okay for you.
D-licious every time. Beautiful space and great service.
First time at Douro - loved everything about it. The ambiance was like eating/being in Europe. Will be back!
Cuisine continues to be uniformly excellent and unique. The new location is beautiful and comfortable all though quite
loud near the energetic bar. Great wine list.
Prettiest restaurant in Greenwich! Gorgeous and one happening place. Love it!
MUCH TOO LOUD!
Food was amazing and great service
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. The from the plating to the decor, the attention to detail is outstanding. Even the bread is incredible. The staff is professional and friendly (and the bartender, Frank, knows his way around a drink). Chef Rui created a truly outstanding dining experience that I couldn't recommend more. Try the paella.
Douro's price/value equation is way out of whack. Portuguese food priced like a 4 star French restaurant. Not a bottle of wine <$100...for Portuguese wine mind you. Beautiful new design which is probably driving the prices sky high. Drop the price to reasonable and you'll have a winner
Great service excellent food wonderful restaurant
Nice new space. Too hot to keep windows open
‘Love the new space! The food, service and ambiance, are still excellent. Frank and Christy were amazing.
Unfortunately the experience at Douro was disappointing on most levels. The new space is the only redeeming factor. If I return, it would be for the expensive, but well done cocktails.
Very noisy downstairs. We were told no table available upstairs. Food was good but not great. Service was ok. Expensive for what it is.
Server was very nice and proficient. The food was fair and is a good option for everyday dining.
We ate at the previous location many times and suffered sticker shock at our first visit to the new location.
I was a huge fan of the old Douro. That is the reason I gave the new one 2 chances. I was disappointed both times. I gave it three stars because some things are still good (the brussels sprouts, the drinks, the service) I also like the new tip included policy and the new space is beautiful. But the food has suffered greatly. This is an expensive restaurant, and at these prices to have not one but two entrées that were extremely disappointing...Not acceptable. The paella (which used to be great) is now dry, mediocre, and has sub par ingredients. The sea bass fish special, which was extremely expensive, was mediocre. Desserts have not changed. They were fine. Overall I’m very disappointed that this one is great restaurant has gone downhill even as it moved up the hill.
The new location is awesome. Lots of space and a more friendly atmosphere. I wish that OpenTable mentioned that it had moved. We walked over two blocks from parking by the old location to get to the new location where there was plenty of parking.
It is a MUST GO TO RESTAURANT.
Food great! Although some appetizers over priced. But not main courses. Service great! Too noisy.
Food, wine & service were all great. Our first time going to a tips included restaurant. I like the premise for it.
Food and service excellent. Noise level pretty high, need something to dampen the acoustics.
Nice new location. Delicious octopus and paella
The food was good but the noise level was so loud you could not talk to the people at your table. The portions were very small and the prices were extremely expensive. I might recommend this place once but I will not be going back.
The new Douro has raised the bar in Greenwich. From the tremendous new location and atmosphere, to the chef having improved the taste in all of the dishes!!
Great bar and table service, with music to compliment this handsome setting!
