About Dukes 92
Dukes 92 was originally a stable block for the horses delivering foods off barges to the Merchants warehouse opposite. From these humble begininngs the building now houses Manchester's original bar and grill which has been refurbished and extended three times since its opening in 1991 the space today is informal and airy with the buildings heritage being reflected in a subtle blend of antique furniture and modern fixed seating.
With its most recent refurbishment Dukes can now properly call itself a venue with two bars, three private events spaces, a grill restaurant, excellent smoking facilities, canalside terrace and balcony overlooking the canal basin. Dukes continued appeal relies on its ability to transform from a relaxed, family friendly environment by day to a vibrant and stylish bar and grill by night.
The space has been extended and refurbished since its opening in 1991 and inside its interior combines contemporary features and its trademark antique furniture.

Dukes 92 Ratings and Reviews
We don't know Manchester very well, but our daughter is at uni there and we wanted to take her out for lunch without going into the middle of town. This was perfect as there was parking right outside but it was only 2 minutes out of the centre. The staff were really lovely, plenty of choice on the menu at reasonable prices and the cocktails looked good too although we didn't sample any!
Dukes is my favourite restaurant in Manchester, I’ve been far to many times and always order the pate to start and the fillet steak for mains! I’ve never once been let down with the quality food and most importantly amazing staff. I love seeing the regular faces of the staff who are always warm and welcoming! I always recommend them to my friends for their dates or just for a good environment along with good food!
Will be coming back again soon as always!
The staff were very welcoming and full of fun. Jess is a credit to the place. The food was cooked expertly with gluten free options without a fuss.
The upstairs venue is well laid out and excellent for a party.
My only negative criticism is that for those with limited vision the steps down to the toilets are not clearly obvious.
I came here with my friend for a girly catch up on a Saturday late afternoon. The atmosphere was great and lively. The food area was slightly quieter for people to chat.
The food was delish, we shared 5 small plates between us to pick at with a bottle of wine.
I would love to come again soon especially around Christmas and new year
What a gem, the staff are very friendly and attentive and helped in any way we needed. We loved the waterfront position with very pretty views. The food was scrumptious, loved the ambience although it's quite big. Loved the tables with trees! Fab restaurant/bar.
This was our second visit. First time was for a graduation meal for our daughter over the summer and we enjoyed it so much we came back when doing the uni run in September, for our son. We had booked for 2.30pm and when we finished moving in to halls quicker than we thought, we arrived early and asked if we could have our table early. We were pleased to find this was possible and had a lovely lunch again. Delicious food and great service. The place was buzzing.
Our waitress Codie was very attentive. We had a Gluten intolerant guest with us who also suffers with some IBS issues too. Codie went out of her way to ask the chief if they could make some of the food without certain ingredients.
I’d like to extent my thanks to Codie and the Chief involved for making the evening spectacular with the service and the extra effort for my intolerant guest.
Definitely will be recommending you and will be back again.

Had the best time, lovely food drinks and company. Gutted we didn't go on the Friday as Erasure were there one of our fave bands.
Would recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment !
Our waiter was friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
The only let down the toilets could do with keeping an eye on especially when busy as loo roll was not plentiful !
As I said a great choice for a great night 😁
