With its most recent refurbishment Dukes can now properly call itself a venue with two bars, three private events spaces, a grill restaurant, excellent smoking facilities, canalside terrace and balcony overlooking the canal basin. Dukes continued appeal relies on its ability to transform from a relaxed, family friendly environment by day to a vibrant and stylish bar and grill by night.
The space has been extended and refurbished since its opening in 1991 and inside its interior combines contemporary features and its trademark antique furniture.

Me and my partner thought that dukes 92 was a very pleasurable place to eat and drink . The service in which we had was excellent and the food was great.
Couldn’t fault it, cocktail menu wasn’t too appealing for my preference. The steak was amazing!
We enjoyed a lovely Lunchtime get together with friends at Dukes 92. The food was lovely as was the venue. 3 of us had Fish and Chips which were delicious and all freshly cooked. The other friend had the Cheese and Onion pie which he said was also delicious. Definitely would visit again and would recommend.
Excellent choices on menu. Food was well presented and tasty. Service attentive. Environment is smart. On Saturday evening the music is very loud, so conversation is difficult. The music could do with toning down as it spoils what is otherwise a really nice place to eat good food.
Really tasty food. We had a platter and some cocktails. Enjoyed the experience and location was fabulous.
The food and service was all really good. The wine tasted excellent and the food was outstanding. The unique interior design of the restaurant gives it such an luxurious and casual feel. It was incredible. There was a single thing which did not appeal and that was how the bar and the restaurant were merged into one, while my girlfriend and I were enjoying our meal, a few people from the bar would make a group beside our table and speak loudly and the occasional bump into us also happened. Apart form that everything was excellent.
This is a fantastic gastro pub food is excellently priced however could do with more selection of food on the menu but not overkill.
Overall however the meals that we had were excellent. Only complaint towards the end service was a little lacking.
We were seated upstairs which meant we had some privacy and were able to talk away from the noise of the main bar, our waitress was lovely very chatty and helpful (unfortunately I can't remember her name), and the food was 10/10.
We attend Dukes as a party of 8 prior to every Manchester United Champions League and midweek home games and the food and service are always excellent with regards the bill I don’t pick it up so I cannot comment but looking at the food prices on the menu they are very reasonable and fabulous taste 👍
Really tasty good quality food. Great value for money.
Had a really lovely evening, the food and cocktails were really nice. Great place to go
Very nice food, good choice on menu an great stylish eating environment. Would recommend if in the area!
Food was fantastic and fresh, great food options and great service. Will defiantly be going back. The waffle dessert was to die for highly recommended
Had a very lovely time with two of my friends in the dining area ! Great music which wasn’t too loud as we could still have a conversation ! Amazing food and desserts and drinks ! Always go here and I love it definetly a go-to for pre-drinks or a relaxing fun evening with friends !
Amazing place for a my partners birthday. Even though it was a bank holiday the service wasn't compromised and it was relatively quiet considering. Really recommend the sharing platter as excellent value and great quality. Really enjoyable experience, just wish we lived closer.
Catching up with x3 children who are all at Uni or living in Manchester! Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Loved everything. Food was delicious and great value for money.
We love Dukes 92. Must be the best Sunday lunch in Manchester!
Great for a friendly get together, food and wine were well priced. Service excellent, however, the bar area is very loud when dining.
Had a lovely afternoon, food really good! Wasn’t keen on the live music
Myself and 3 friends met at Dukes 92 on Sunday 12th August. The service was really good and the food was excellent. We all really enjoyed our experience and will be returning again.
I had a lovely meal for my birthday with friends. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. When I told them it was my birthday they brought me a glass of prosecco which was nice of them. My meal -duck curry- was tasty. My friend ordered chicken wings for starter unfortunately they were too salty. When she spoke to the waitress about it, there was no issue and she said she would take it off the bill. Apart from that we were happy with our meals. The music was good not too loud so we could have a good chat. If we wanted to stay out later there was a DJ and people were up dancing, lovely atmosphere. We will be back😊
We decided last minute to take the barge to the Man United v Leicester game on Friday night so Dukes 92 was a convenient location, this was a corporate business meeting so it had to be right, the food and service were excellent, the girl who served us was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble, I cannot comment about the bill because somebody else picked up the tab ( thank you god haha) but I do know the food I chose was very reasonably priced, would I go again, you better believe it, fabulous location, staff and atmosphere.
The food was great but the service and drinks left much to be desired. The jug of pimms was terrible and was charged £22 for that. The service was given by nice but inattentive people who asked if we needed more drinks when we'd just been given a full jug of "pimms" and asked if we needed more food when we'd eaten a starter and had just been given our mains. It was nice to be asked if everything was okay with our food but we had been seen by 4 different members of staff in 10 minutes. This isn't so bad but then when you spend 5-10 minutes trying to attract someone's attention when you want to pay the bill and leave seems strange to me.
The food was excellent, but the drinks were poor and the service was just okay.
Top class Sunday dinner as usual great atmosphere and staff
Music too loud for the eating area. We asked for a table further away near the rear of the restaurant but weren’t accommodated. Food was excellent though. Bar and restaurant were extremely busy and we were delayed on our table time.
A lovely venue and was absolutely packed. Sadly, we had two different male waiters who made lots of errors between them. One drink came out, the other didn't. Part of the food order came, part of it didn't even when already paid for as is necessary when sitting outside. Another drink ordered, another drink forgotten. Thank goodness for the female waitress who mopped up the mistakes. Very loud outside. Not sure there was a need for the live music, as great as it was, as there was so much chat due to so many people being there. Food was tasty when it came.
I wasn't expecting the restaurant to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of people coming in and out to get drinks and near the bar area. It was hard to hear what my partner was saying at some points, the waiting service was okay, I would say they need to be more aware of when people seem to be ready to order food and drinks.
Very good food and venue. We came here for our friends birthday and had a great night.
We had Sunday Lunch for 5 on 29/07/18. The chicken breast was tiny, the vegetables were under-cooked (and I do not mean al dente). The whole meal was swimming in gravy.
There was live music which was much too loud and inappropriate for a lunch-time meal. We had to shout to each other to be heard over the music. The only positive was the service was good.
I celebrated my birthday with friends and the experience was great. Good service with a smile and excellent food!!!
Nice decor and the food was okay.
Staff seemed uninterested and like they didn’t want to be there. Dirty wine glasses on the table, had to ask for these to be replaced and awful coffee.
Nothing amazing, much better alternatives in the city.
Enjoyed a business lunch there. Great feedback on the rump steak and other meals as well.
Arrived 30 mins early and shown straight to our table , ideally situated to people watch .Extremely friendly staff providing super speedy service throughout . Food was delicious , would definitely recommend the sharing boards ...and steaks and desserts 🙈
The food was reasonsbly priced too compared to other city centre restaurants we’ve tried recently , although £4.90 for a coke due to driving was a tad excessive
We had booked a table as it was a special occasion and were not even greeted by anyone when we entered so just decided to take a seat. We gathered we had to order at the bar as no one came over to us. When the barman took our order he didn’t seem like he was concentrating and spent more time laughing and joking with a colleague. We ordered 3 small plates and 3 main meals and a round of drinks. We were rather shocked to find that all of the food came out at once... when we were expecting the small plates first and then the main means which is normal practice having dined at a number of restaurants before. We were told that as we had sat in the ‘bar area’ the barman should have informed us that the food would come out all at once, he did not and had we known this we would have gone and sat in the ‘food area’. The waiter said she would make fresh food and bring it out once we had finished the small plates and it was clear once the main meals were presented that they were the original dishes that had been presented to us that had just been kept warm which made the burger and lamb dishes extremely dry. I was so disappointed in the whole experience as I have not been to Dukes for a little while but had told my family members that I was celebrating with that it had previously been nice and we were really looking forward to it. Would be reluctant to go back or recommend.
Staff took ages to take orders, there was no segregation from the restaurant and the bar which was noisy and full of football fans celebrating.
Considering it must have been one of the busiest days of the year so far - with the weather AND the football, we had a great experience at Dukes 92!! Fab service, great atmosphere and lovely food. Would definitely go back again.
Can't rate the food/value but booked table and showed confirmation but could not get access into the venue as they were 'at capacity' because of the football. However, if you knew the bouncer or had a friend in a hen party they somehow did have the capacity. This was after coming out of the queue after being told to go to the front if you had a booking. Heard from others that it was nearly an hour to get a drink. Ended up at Dmitri's which was much better.
We went to watch England for World Cup match although the staff were extremely busy the service we had was extremely good and how the staff handled being busy it was fantastic
Even though the England match was on and the place was rammed. It was very well organised and the food was perfect as usual
