We had an exceptional meal at Edendum, enjoying traditional and innovative culinary delights centred around Italian cuisine. We started with complimentary sourbread rolls made from a dough that originated 30 years ago! Our shared Gnocco Fritto misto was generous and the swordfish pies had a delightful delicate flavour. We all agreed that Edendum was a real find and we were surprised that the restaurant was quiet (albeit on a Thursday evening). We would like to thank the staff for being so welcoming and the chef for his delicious creations. The ambience was perfect for a reunion of friends and we will certainly return to Edendum Brighton. Had a great dinner at this Restaurant. The Hungarian Goulash was delicious; The steak was great but the pepper sauce could have been a bit more interesting. But that's a question of taste I guess. The service was lovely and helpful, giving us information about the meal and suggestions for the dessert. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The booking was fine except we asked for a quiet table as we are both head of hearing and it was our anniversary. We were seated with two large parties and so had trouble hearing each other. Not very romantic either. The service was good and very friendly. The food was very nice except we had only just put the last mouthful of our starters in our mouths and the mains arrived! Some of the food was a little cold. The wine was lovely and we were able to have a free bottle by choosing food from the weekend treat menu. Just love their mini puds with a coffee! I came here for a lovely valentines meal. The open fire was very romantic and food was good. A shame the Food was just warm but not very hot, very delicious still. We were seated in the front room which was not next to the fire and was quite cold and then moved to a table by the fire place to finish drinks which was nice a warming. Would recommend asking for a table by the fireplace on very cold days. Overall nice experience and would come back MoreOpenTable Diner -
We were celebrating our friends wedding anniversary. There was a little confusion about the open table reservation but it was quickly and politely resolved. Each of us order a different dish from ribs to halibut and all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our services was attentive but not intrusive. Wonderful evening. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t have any record of our booking when we arrived and the maitre’d was a bit offhand, but he did find us a table. It took a while before we got our requested highchair but once a waiter was assigned to our table he was absolutely lovely. The food was very good with only one exception, some profiteroles which were hard and possibly only recently thawed out. A decent family-friendly option in Brighton. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Quite a different sort of Indian restaurant and one I would definitely return to. Not a bog standard curry house - very interesting food and style. I was particularly impressed with the set menu options and pricing as I expected this place to be a lot pricier than it is. The chicken kebabs were wonderful and the fish was cooked to perfection. Great experience. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I wasn't a fan of the dry dough on the starters, which led to me already being suspicious of the pizza dough. Luckily the pizza was fine. I had the 5 cheese and it was a standard 5 cheese pizza. Where the company did well is that their cocktail was delicious! Thank you MoreOpenTable Diner -
The Devil's Dyke in Brighton is a country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most.
The pub restaurant offers an ideal spot to rest after a day exploring the Devil's Dyke Valley, from which it got its name. According to local folklore the valley is an unfinished trench which was dug by the Devil in an attempt to flood the churches of the Weald. The valley now plays host to The Dyke Golf Club and Dyke Golf Course.
Our pub is on the beautiful Downs with great views overlooking Brighton - on a clear day can see London. It takes its name from the nearby beauty spot, a valley supposedly dug by the Devil.More
