Excellent food... Beautifully presented.. Nice ambience.. Was a little cold in the restaurant to start but the waitress v quickly organised to put the radiator on and we warmed up! Celeriac soup was fantastic and dessert was A M A Z I N G!! Best parfait ever! Went with my sister who is very tricky when ordering but the waitress dealt with her amazingly well.. Would definitely recommend to vegetarians.. Quite expensive but well worth it to feel so healthy after a 3 course dinner... MoreOpenTable Diner -
Open Table did not give the restaurant our reservation and so they were not expecting us, but were wonderful to accommodate us on a fully booked, busy Saturday evening. CAREFUL!! DON'T USE OPEN TABLE FOR THIS RESTAURANT. Even though they give you a confirmation number, you will not have a reservation. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I'm vegan and chose Zizzi's because they have a vegan menu. The food was great - the vegan option being really thoughtful and delicious and the other pizzas and pasta very good. But it's the service that makes the difference, the manager was exceptional spending time talking about other vegan establishments in Brighton and making us feel so welcome. A great place for an evening meal. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Cafe Rouge was the ideal location for a friends get together. The ambience reminded us of our holidays in France, the service was friendly, courteous, efficient and timely and the menu gave us plenty of choice without being over-complex. Excellent value for money for a great night out! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Unfortunately we booked through yourselves, arrived and no table was booked. We believe you have sorted this out, as we would not want to book a table for six and it was not available, fortunately they were able to accommodate for two! Food was good, BUT STILL NOT HOT WHEN ARRIVED AT TABLE. This is our one and only complaint, needs hot plates as well. MoreOpenTable Diner -
So after hearing mixed reviews about this place, we decided to try it out for ourselves. Admittedly, the food wasn't 5* but it was still yummy, especially the banoffee pie, and overall the night was amazing for value. The £35 we paid each included our 3 course meal, the lovely ladies that performed throughout dinner and free entry to the club night afterwards. Also, I was surprised at how many people joined after the restaurant closed, and we were pleasantly surprised by it! It was lots of fun and I will 100% be returning! MoreOpenTable Diner -
We ate dinner first, one evening with the off chance that my international guests could sample England's fish and chips. We instantly decided to and ate the amazing food from the menu. Italien tapas, mussels that were cooked to perfection and great beer. I had already arranged to meet some friends (10 people) there on the Sunday as well for a roast, with very high expectations, which were more than exceeded! I grew up in Brighton and it is hands down, one of the best Sunday roasts I've had. We had a 9 month old with us both times and were a large booking the 2nd both time with a large booking. We have visited the restaurant for a French-themed dinner and it delivered up to our expectations the food was good, with decent sized portions. The food was more of a gastro pub quality (definitely not Michelin starred level), but for the price and combined a good service it still presents an excellent value. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I took my wife for a romantic meal in a historic hotel with fine food. The food is delicious and properly prepared. The ambience is nice to look at and the lighting subdued for our romantic date. It's worth a trip to the toilet to go downstars on the iron spiral staircase end look into the wine celler. MoreOpenTable Diner -
My husband and I were looking for somewhere relaxed but special for my birthday dinner. We don't get to go out much because of the kids so this needed to be good. And Grow40 was perfect! service was incredible. Cocktails were deeeelicious. Dinner was lush too. I'd describe it as extremely well cooked simple food. No fush, just great ingredients with great taster. I had scallops with pea puree and the puree was incredible! Followed by sea bass with broccoli and an olive/tomato chunky salsa type thing. Also lush. Def recommend. It was the perfect start to our evening before strolling through town for a few after dinner drinks. MoreOpenTable Diner -
There are some fantastic things to do in Brighton, and our ASK Italian restaurant puts you within easy walking distance of the best. Because we’re open from lunch until late, you can take a moment out from sightseeing to pop in for coffee, lunch or nibbles, perhaps a gelato or even a celebratory prosecco. Our ingredients are fresh, many straight from Italy – and our chefs are passionate about the flavours they produce.More
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Lots of options for gluten free eaters like myself. Only downside is you cannot leave a tip (gratuity) on a credit card. I didn't have cash and the nearest cash point is a long way away and the last thing you want to be doing, after hours on end at the beach/on Brighton Pier, is taking yet another long walk! They were unbelievably gracious about it but I'd have loved to have been able to leave the tip they very much deserved! We'll be back again, with cash in hand! MoreOpenTable Diner -
We arrived at the time of our booking on Mother's Day but Open Table had not sent the booking to the Old Stables, however despite being extremely busy they managed to accommodate us. The menu had several choices and the food quality was of a high standard. The wine list was rather limited and our first few choices were unavailable. The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough to help. We would definitely go back as we really enjoyed the experience. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The Devil's Dyke in Brighton is a country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most.
The pub restaurant offers an ideal spot to rest after a day exploring the Devil's Dyke Valley, from which it got its name. According to local folklore the valley is an unfinished trench which was dug by the Devil in an attempt to flood the churches of the Weald. The valley now plays host to The Dyke Golf Club and Dyke Golf Course.
Our pub is on the beautiful Downs with great views overlooking Brighton - on a clear day can see London. It takes its name from the nearby beauty spot, a valley supposedly dug by the Devil.More
