One of my favorite restaurants with fantastic truffle options. Edera never disappoints!
Edera is a local high end Italian that has stood the test of time. The restaurant itself has too many bench seats that are rather too close together for my liking, but the interior is warm and inviting. Staff are efficient, and the food is good. My artichoke starter was rather undercooked, but they did one of the best Veal Schnitzels I've ever eaten. Starters at £15-25, mains at £25 and no wines from £35 to north of £1000 means that this place isn't cheap, but the menu is varied and interesting. They definitely shouldn't charge for flatbreads though!
Excellent as ever. Possibly my favourite restaurant in London! 🙏🏼
Tiny, tiny portions. We paid £50 for 4 pieces of ravioli and half a bowl of lukewarm soup. We were in and out in just over half an hour, out very next port of a call was the news agents found the corner where we stocked up on chocolate and biscuits to cure our hunger.
Great Sardinian-Italian place in Kensington. We had excellent starters of a salad & a combination of calamari & zucchini, followed by Sardinian style gnocchi, asparagus risotto, & prawns & langustine with Sardinian style couscous (pearl pasta). It was altogether delightful.
Been there twice before. Always treat us well. Food is amazing. Had very good and still reasonably priced wine. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent dinner and atmosphere. First time and very impressed. Definitely recommend
Food very good . Service good . Nice atmosphere
A little pricey but you are in notting hill. Overall a very pleasant experience and would deffo go back
Great meal. Delicious lunch.
i have been dining at edera on friday night. when we have arrived, we have been placed under a freezing air-co fan. I have asked twice to turn it down and the waiter turned very rude at my request. From there on the service has been rushed and quite impolite. the food was good and well cooked. Still, fairly overpriced for what you get and the overall service experience. Not one of the best Italian places in the area.
This was not a great experience, I'm afraid. It took a while to find my booking and then the waitress had to go and ask if it was ok for me to take my table. The first course was an artichoke and parmesan salad but it only really tasted of the overpowering dressing. The bread served was mixed quality and a couple of bits had clearly been cut for a while as they were hard on the surface. I asked specifically for the veal second course to be served with rice not mashed potatoes but it was brought with roast potatoes. (had I not been in a hurry I would have sent it back) The veal was ok but the portion was small and there was not enough of the sauce and it was overthickened. I didn't bother with a pudding. Coffee was adequate. I was one of only three customers in the restaurant despite it being Friday night
Alway good there.
Always amazing food and service. I am a regular. Will be returning.
Enjoyed another great dinner at Edera. Highly recommended.
Once again a fabulous evening at Edera. Service was impeccable and the food/wine outstanding. A consistently excellent night.
Service was good, wine was good, food was OK.
Disappointing dining experience. We were sat down in the back where there were no other diners (which was fine), but it took 20 minutes for the server to greet us, at which point she brusquely asked what we wanted--didn't even ask for drink orders. When my wife and I asked for mixed drinks, she said that don't serve them despite the menu detailing a long list of liquor in addition to the beer and wine. We had to order our food at that time, I asked for a steak medium well, which came to me blood raw. After waiting to see the server again I asked if they could cook it some more, and when it came back it was still super rare, where it stayed on my plate as I could not eat it. We felt super rushed despite open tables around us, which was fine because we were eager to leave. We were visiting London and looked forward to a meal at this little local place in Holland Park, but we felt anything but welcomed.
Excellent food quality. All guests were happy after the dinnner. Dinner wasn’t cheap, however given the quality of the food and the cosy ambiance and the very attentive staff I think it a no ce restaurant for business dinners and special occasions.
Best pasta dish in London - Spaghetti a la Bottarga
Loved the quaint, elegant surroundings - servers were great. Food was outstanding.
As an Italian I can say that this is my favourite Italian restaurant in London :)
Very nice food.tables seemed a little close so could hear everyone elses conversation except my own but service very good
Party of 4 , none of us had pasta which may have been a mistake. The Veal Milanese was not good ,nor was the Tiramisu.
The food lacked skill and presentation . It had been recommended by a local , maybe the chef was having an off night . I wish I had tried the pasta.
Just very good pasta - authentic Italian cooking and very good service
Superb food , wine and service. The Spaghetti a la Bottarga and Tagliolini ccio e pepe are the best in town by a country mile
Nice looking restaurant, but sadly the food disappointed. Milanese Schnitzel felt a little rushed and the veal was quite stringy, roast potatoes were undercooked and fried courgettes were fried in same batter as schnitzel. For an upscale Italian, I was disappointed.
We always try visit Edera when we ate staying in Holland Park and it never disappoints. Great food although a bit pricey (but on par with other restaurants in the area).
Excellent Italian cuisine. There is a black truffle menu but none of the dishes were available probably because there was no truffle but no explanation was given. Overall it was a disappointing experience because the service was generally poor: very inexperienced waiter/waitress who could barely speak English. Had to signal to the waiting staff for pretty much everything. It got tedious after a while. I’m a fan of the food though.
Good service and staff excellent, although ordered Dover sole for main course and was disappointed. I’ve eaten Dover sole loads of times but never like this! Tasted very rubbery.
Very disappointed. Poor greeting on arrival . Staff unfriendly throughout the evening, no smiles. Seemed not to care about the customers. Food disappointing. I had salmon which came served on green beans. That was it... the dish needed more variety of flavours on the plate. A separately ordered side dish of courgettes came in a heavy batter and did not go well with the salmon. Very expensive for lack lustre food. In this area of London you would be much better off to dine at the Belvedere in Holland Park or go up the road to Nottinghill to one of the eateries there.
Would not go there again for glum dinning and poor quality Italian food. Come on guys make an effort.
We are now regular visitors to this wonderful, true Italian Restaurant ! Great menu and wine list, spoiled for choice - delicious Pasta but delicious meat and fish too. Friendly, efficient service.
Sunday lunch was refined but the dishes, though well prepared, lacked flavour. A great pity as service was good.
food very competently prepared and good. service a bit rushed but courteous. overall a most pleasant experience and good value.
Delicious Italian food in pleasant local restaurant
Always a pleasure. Classic Italian. Will be back. ( curiously the bread is dull; always was )
A nice lunch with good service but I thought a bit expensive for lunch and no set menu of the day
Reliably good but better for dinner than lunch. Some dishes at lunch time tend to taste pre-prepared rather than freshly cooked.
Great food and service in a cosy environment . Prices are very reasonable and service very friendly.
