Edmunds Ratings and Reviews
We had a lovely leisurely meal, with very attentive and friendly service. The tasting menu was excellent with a fabulous range of tasty and well presented dishes. The restaurant feels smart but comfortable at the same time and we both had an excellent evening. We will definitely go again.
We went on a Saturday night to this restaurant and it was simply stunning. I cannot fault it at all!! We shared a bottle of champagne and enjoyed a three course meal. We both had the scallops then I had the fillet steak and my friend had lemon sole and we had crème Brule and Toffee soufflé for dessert. The whole experience was outstanding. The food came in good time but not too quick. The stand out for me was one of our waiters that took the time to get us a candle, explain the tasting set menu to us and to top it off walked us to a taxi once we had finished! Absolutely gorgeous definitely worth the price and will 100% be returning. Thank you Edmunds
Magnificent as ever! All the food was beautifully presented to my girlfriend and myself and all the courses lived up to expectation and more! As we have come to expect from Edmund’s, the service; notably the attention to our dining experience could not be faulted. It was my birthday so the staff unexpectedly produced some petit fours for me then we were both treated to an extraordinary glass of raspberry cognac! This was totally new to me but is certainly something I will be looking to get my own bottle of as soon as possible!!! Can’t wait to return at the earliest opportunity.
As ever we enjoyed a superb evening at Edmund's! The standard of food combined with top class service made for an unforgettable experience. My girlfriend an I both had scallops to start with were served with a fantastically meaty octopus tentacle. For main courses, she had a perfectly cooked Barbary duck breast while I had rump of Worcestershire lamb. Both were served with wonderful garnishes & sauces. I am slightly disabled in my left hand and it was no problem for the chef to cut up my lamb into manageable pieces whilst keeping the plate looking wonderful. For dessert, my girlfriend had strawberries and raspberries macaroons, lemon cream. I opted for a cheese board containing a variety of French and British cheeses with grapes, celery, chutney and biscuits. All in all, a fabulous night out at a venue I would recommend to everyone!
Had an amazing time at Edmunds on Saturday night for my fiancée birthday meal!
The waiters and waitresses are very very professional and certainly know their stuff!
We had he tasted menu for he first time and enjoyed every single course!
The chefs did a fantastic job at giving us food we wouldn't normally choose, and they were amazing!
Definitely be returning again!!
We've eaten at Edmunds before and it has always been an exceptional experience. Gilles is the perfect host - attentive, chatty and very informed about the quality and provenance of the food served. Last time we had a 'Taster Menu' and it was superb. This time we glided around the a' la Carte Menu choosing King Scallops with Salmon & Caviar followed by a Fillet of Welsh Black Beef (cooked 'nearly rare') with parmentier potatoes and asparagus. A large glass of Malbec added to the sheer pleasure.
Excellent food, highest quality cooking and preparation. Adequate selection of wine by the glass. Good, efficient and courteous service. We had the menu du jour because we were short of time before the concert, which was excellent value. We look forward to exploring the rest of the menu next time.
I took my husband for his birthday. The restaurant is very intimate well laid out and modern. The staff are always lovely and the food of the highest quality. On a par with some of the top restaurants in the city.
It's definitely a place for special occasions.
This was our first visit to Edmunds.Had a wonderful lunch on Friday With my husband. Staff made us very Welcome. We would recommend to everyone and look forward to visiting again soon. Food was adorable. The special two course menu was well worth it. Keep up the good work.
Food was really high quality, made for a really special Valentine's meal. Service was excellent, fast an knowledgeable about the food. Really nice ambience which made for a great meal out. For the quality of food and for 4 courses of fine dining the meal was really good value. My only complaint would be a stricter dress code should be imposed as most of the diners were in smart or smart/casual wear but the people next to us turned up in trackies which I felt was an unfair reflection on the restaurant, waiters and food. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!
