Food exceptional , great flavors, place it’s very unique with tons of bottle of tequila in the walls what it lacks this restaurant is service he went for our wedding anniversary’s last night for dinner in our waiter Paolo was rude , rushing to serve the food , not attentive at all , I don’t think I’ll be back !!

The waitress asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water. We asked for flat and they charged us 12.00 each for a bottle of water. They should have told us that the water was not free.

El Agave is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in San Diego. I've been here about a dozen times and always have a great experience. I like to explore the menu and try different items. One of my favorite is the Nopales salad. Healthy, fresh and deliciious. On this visit, I paired that with Duck Burrito. Glad I tried the duck - it was fab!

Food was good, very noisy! We love this restaurant and visit whenever we come to SD. However, inside seating this time was extremely loud. Couldn't hear conversations at the table, sevice was slow for food and drinks. Still enjoyed our dinner but hope to eat on the patio next visit.
