We also keep serving at the bar until 1am Thursday to Saturday – stocked with 18 different draught and bottled beers and ales, wines and strong new takes on classic cocktails. The Diner is all about unfussy combinations of the best ingredients; quick, friendly service and food that is sent straight from the kitchen as and when it’s ready. There’s booth and bar seating, and a specially chosen soundtrack played from the Diner’s reel-to-reel machine.
Tolle Location... ich war schon ein paar mal dort...
It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a diner inspired eatery. The menu is simple.
I was impressed by their attention and knowledge about coeliac requirements.
It is very loud. We had trouble having a conversation across a table with 3 of us.
I'd say just about the best burger I've eaten in any burger joint. Also had the chilli cheese frieswhich were superb.
This place is fit for tourists ! the food is average and prices totally expensive, you pay the location !
They tried to charge me more than I've ordered which is unacceptable
I won't recommend it at all especially for brunch !
Really good salads and cocktails. Very accommodating staff.
Simply amazing. The food was so tasty and rich. Really worth the prices. Amazing!
Delicious food, especially the chilli cheese fries! Enjoyable atmosphere and really friendly service.
very nice atmosphere, great food. italian staff very kind and friendly. a great place for a weekend evening or brunch
The food was just ok, a bit bland. The atmosphere was great but we were being rushed with the waitress asking how we were getting on far too frequently.
Service was poor .....lovely smiling waitress but it ends at that ...
She forgot the drinks, service was slow and it seemed like the waitress and waiters just didn't care...
The waitress was lovely and the place really is one of a kind! We loved it and will be back
They just forgot to bring our meal and after 1 and an half our we cancelled our order. And it was a birthday night.
So over crowded, was sat on a table for two which was an inch away from the tables either side. Booked two days before and didn't get a booth. The staff were rushed off their feet, there was not enough room for the to move properly. So over priced, so noisy, so crowded. Much better places to eat with a friendlier atmosphere, not a conveyer belt of customers being just about cared for. Awful.
Love the food but front of house was really disappointing. We were shown to a table squeezed in between two others with literally no way to get to the seats. We turned to speak to the front of house woman but she just walked off, so we were left to navigate our way in. It didn't help one of the tables was incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful, but the point is why shove people in to a tiny table where you're sat on top of eachother?! We would have rather waited for more space somewhere. It felt very arrogant and jarring so even though the food was good we left very disappointed.
Food was excellent, very friendly staff, brilliant atmosphere.
We ate here pre cinema next door. The service was fast and friendly which suited us well. Nice buzzy atmosphere. The menu is limited but the food was very good. Would eat here again.
We really enjoyed our time here, we have been a few times before and have always found the food and service to be brilliant each time. Planning to go back again in the near future...
Best Bloody Mary and burger ever
Amazing, as always!
Sitting at the bar is the best, love love love going here with my wife!
Great food, very nice service. Their waffles are especially tasty. Sit by the bar with perfect wiev to Portobello Road
The services was poor, our orders were wrong. It was too pricey for all day dinner type of food.
Good food although the prices were a bit high and not very clear. There was also not a lot of choices for vegans!
Electric Diner was fantastic! Great food and staff! Perfect start to our London trip!
The Electric Diner is really fun and a very American experience! The menu is great, there's loads of choice, and it's all super delicious. We had the grilled cheese and then the french toast, which is divine. It's very very noisy in there usually, as it's a narrow room and acoustics are quite bad, but that can add to the ambience for some. It's a tad expensive but not too bad for Portobello (where I live) and I love the whole vibe. I would recommend booking if you can because walking in, esp on a weekend, isn't usually going to get you far! The staff are lovely and helpful, I love the booths, or sitting at the counter, and the burgers and hot dogs are also awesome! Do yourself a favour and go to the Electric Cinema too, a real treat! Love it!
Been going for years and good but the service is too pushy and interred mid conversation 5 times.
Uninspired by the menu and quality of food was OK, but I love the ED so much.
An excellent evening prior to going to the movies - will definitely come again
food was excellent
simple and tasty
service was great and generally we had a great evening and would recommend it
À bit too lood
Came with a Friend before seeing a film. Love the options on the menu and had a mocktail which was delicious. The food was beautiful but the best thing about this place is the service. The serving staff are a credit to them.
Fantastico, da provare assolutamente a Londra
Food wasn’t great. I love brunch here but the dinner menu was really limited and the food we has wasn’t great quality. Bit of a shame from Soho House.
A really buzzy restaurant with good, straight-forward food, well cooked and presented (thankfully not haute cuisine)... lovely staff who get the service level just right. Chefs add to the friendly atmosphere: a few latecomers arrived when the 'kitchen' was wrapping up but they were quite happy to prepare food for them (not common practice in a London restaurant!). We went there on New Year's Eve and everybody (staff & customers) seemed on a high. Had a lovely evening. Music was a bit too loud for easy conversation but maybe it was because of NYE - that being said, the music was great! Good value. Recommended.
Really good place! Burgers are tasty.
Kids menu ++
Ambiance is fun
Hash browns are massive! Great easy brunch location!
A pleasant atmosphere with interesting decor but the general level of noise was too high which was irritating when you wanted to chat. The menu was too restrictive and many items were over priced. However, the food was well presented and delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
You were allowed to take drinks from the restaurant into the cinema which was good.
An enjoyable experience but not one I have a longing to repeat.
Good American style food, good place for a lively business lunch or casual dining. Service was slow
We visited the restaurant before going to the cinema, this was our first trip to Notting Hill. The service was okay initially. One of our party ordered the Katsu prawn and chicken, this turned out to have raw chicken in it. We pointed this out and were offered a replacement. When the replacement eventually arrived it too was undercooked.
Having initially given ourselves plenty of time, due to the delay in the food we found ourselves in a rush to go to the next door cinema.
We asked for the bill and found that we had been charged for the Katsu despite it being undercooked. Eventually they agreed to remove the Katsu from the bill. We realise that problems occur in catering and feel that the strength of a restaurant is how they handle a complaint, unfortunately the Manager and her staff fell short of handling the situation well. Surely an apology should be given unprompted!
We felt so disappointed especially as there are lots of very nice places to eat in this area.
Amazing food ! Love it here pricey but very good quality food & beautiful wine
A loud, lively & busy diner. Staff are friendly and food is nice, although expensive for what it is.
