Adjacent to one of the oldest cinemas in London and downstairs from the Electric House, The Diner opens at 8am for breakfast, switches to the all-day menu at 12pm and keeps serving until late at night (you can drop in for dinner until midnight Monday to Saturday or 10pm Sunday).

The bar is open until late every day - offering up a wide range drinks including decadent American style milkshakes, smoothies and juices, a wide range of beers and ales, and great seasonal cocktails.

The Diner is all about unfussy combinations of the best ingredients; quick, friendly service and food that is sent straight from the kitchen as and when it’s ready. There’s booth and bar seating, and a specially chosen soundtrack played from the Diner’s reel-to-reel machine.

The food was cold, the coffee was cold. We ordered an English breakfast and the eggs were very cold, the only hot thing was the sausages. The coffee was just little warm after 3 minutes waiting for the breakfast the coffee was already cold. The food was extremely expensive for what we get. £15 for a cold English breakfast plus 13.5% of service charge. So our bills was almost £50 for 2 cappuccino, 1 mango juice, 1 vegetarian English breakfast and one half English breakfast. Now imagine everything cold and the juice that was supposed to be cold was just super hot, no ice at all! All for almost £50?! Very bed experience, will never come back. Also the waitress was very no welcoming at all. But I will “excuse” that as sometimes everyone has a bad day. But no excuse for cold food. And it was even a 20degress day.

Food was great. Service was terrible. Waited 30mins to get served (15 mins trying to get the staff’s attention. One lady raced back and forth staring intently at her device. Bar staff x3 chatting away but not responsible for table service. I could go on). Staff very curt. Waited a further 30mins for food. Place emptied out so last ones ordering and eating. Loved the food. Not keen to return unless the staff are less fed up.

Locale carino, cibo non con molta scelta ma di buona qualità. Un po’ caro per la tipologia di cibo (hamburger, hot dog, bistecca e patatine).

The Ruben sandwich is disappointing with hardly any meat. The Cobb was a tossed green salad lacking in blue cheese.

I had an amazing experience for my 32th birthday. The staff was so carrying and lovely the 2 ladies from staff one of them Italian but unfortunately I don’t know their names, they made me and my partner feel so welcome and taken care of. They even brought my desert on a plate written “Happy Birthday” and a candle on the ice cream ball. Unfortunately we could not try the famous ribs as they had run out but overall all good amazing and the staff even better.

Amazing diner. Service was incredible, very attentive and professional. Served by a lady with brown curly hair (sorry we didn’t get your name) who was lovely. Food came out very promptly and tasted amazing. Strongly recommend the cornflake chicken tenders and the ribeye steak! Drinks were lovely too. Booking details taken into account. They brought out dessert with a birthday candle which was a lovely surprise. PLUS 50% our meal because we went to the cinema itself prior. Super affordable and amazing experience. Would go again.
