Adjacent to one of the oldest cinemas in London and downstairs from the Electric House, The Diner opens at 8am for breakfast, switches to the all-day menu at 12pm and keeps serving until late at night (you can drop in for dinner until midnight Friday and Saturday or 10pm Sunday).

We also keep serving at the bar until 1am Thursday to Saturday – stocked with 18 different draught and bottled beers and ales, wines and strong new takes on classic cocktails. The Diner is all about unfussy combinations of the best ingredients; quick, friendly service and food that is sent straight from the kitchen as and when it’s ready. There’s booth and bar seating, and a specially chosen soundtrack played from the Diner’s reel-to-reel machine.

Food was decent - if not a little pricey. I was disappointed in the service - I had to get up two times to go and find the staff. Tried cocktails and beers, which were okay.

I met up with friends at Electric Diner and the food was great. I had the burger and thought it was very good. My friends also liked their food. The service was very friendly but a little slow to wait on us, in my opinion.

Everything was great! The music is loud as advertised so be aware if you want to have a conversation, it is difficult to chat. Other else than that, great food and service!

We booked the restaurant before the movie, based on the pictures showing booths with real diner feel, and good reviews. However, when we arrived, as we were two, we were shown to a tiny table of two, in between two couples just few centimetres from us. I was told that if I wanted to have a booth I should have mentioned in in the reservation. Good to know for the next time, but they should probably mention this somewhere at the booking site too! Luckily they had a cancellation just when we were considering whether to stay or not, and we got our booth. From thereon, everything was very nice: friendly and quite fast service, food was ok (we had salad, hamburger and mozzarella sticks) and the atmosphere is great. You can bring drinks to the movie, we were showed an indoor way to the theatre.

Fun and tasty as always! My go to neighbourhood hang out. Especially when catching up with friends.

Hi, I came on Sunday for a meal at resturant & first off the aircon was broken, on one of the hottest days. Then we were moved to near bar, near window, which as the seats were very high, my feet hurt, as I have a muscle conditions, which hurt my joints & this was very uncomfortable for me, the food came out and that was very disappointing too. Very salty steak. Was not nice. We paid for meals, however on reflection we shouldn't of due to all the things that happened. It's a shame as imagine it usually is a nice resturant. We also had a begger come up to us twice asking for money, which is not a nice experience.

Great service and food was good but so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk and extremely overheated

Music too loud, couldn’t hear across the table, which wasn’t really big enough for six people. Bench type seat was quite uncomfortable.

I really enjoyed Electric Diner. The decor was on trend without being pretentious. I liked the hazy lighting, the traditional diner-style decor and the chunky, solid wood tables as well as the overall vibe of the open kitchen and moody atmosphere.

I was reassured by the relatively small menu and wine/beer/cocktail list. It looked like a lot of thought had gone into putting together a few, well considered recipes.

The service was a bit hurried. I got the impression that was more because the staff were working really efficiently rather than trying to rush us out, but I would have still prefered it to be more hands-off.

The food was very good overall. The asparagus and poached egg starter was tasty but a little watery. The devilled eggs were delicious. Perhaps a little too rich. The steak was fantastic - good quality near cooked perfectly, well seasoned and with a flawless bernaise and crisp chips.

Relatively expensive but reasonable compared to other London restaurants of similar quality.

I'd go again!

Nice dinner but a little pricey. Dinner for 4 with drinks came to £230 and we didn't order coffee or dessert. Also, although I booked a week in advance, we were seated in the last available booth by the door which wasn't great. Having said that, the food was exceptional and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Very nice decor and ambiance. I could tell that the food was well sourced as it was fresh and tasty. Nicest eggs royale I've ever had. Only criticism would be that I wish that the staff could smile more.

it is too noisy impossible to talk or hardly.
You should have more flexibility about the 50% off the dinner when we get cinema ticket: it is not convenient to have dinner between 5 and 6 pm.
We should have the possibility to have the 50% until 7 pm at least.
Many thanks

Went to Electric Diner as a birthday treat for my boyfriend after seeing the Shape of Water at the cinema next door. Loved the atmosphere and cosy corners that made the perfect backdrop to our date. The drinks were great (we both had beers) and we went for American comfort food staples. A wonderful night all round!

Booked for a 1 hour slot 5-6 before a film. Despite being aware of this service was non existent. Lots of of wandering around checking their phones. No checking tables or customers. Desert arrived and had to be left - no time. It took 20 mins. All very shoddy.

Was early for my booking and waiting on the rest of my party but was taken to my table anyway. The tables were a bit squashed together, but the food and service made up for it. Super tasty food, especially the maple aubergine.

Great atmosphere, fabulous front of house very welcoming & attentive. It was shame that our rib eye steaks were tough 😁!! that was a let down ! I ordered prawns to start, felt that they needed to be served with a seafood sauce. Cocktails were good ! We really enjoyed our evening @ the electric diner & we will be returning.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat before going to the Electric Cinema next door. All staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was lovely. I had the avocado and eggs on toast with a side of smoked salmon. Good portions and very tasty. The icing on the cake was 50% off food when we showed our cinema ticket as we ate just before the film.

We've eaten here on many occasions, and normally the food and service is both great. On this occasion the food left one of the diners being very ill in the night and the service was poor, waiting over 20 minutes to make an order for drinks. Waitress was lovely but overall service slow. Disappointing as it's normally a favouriate for when we meet up

A great place to go to after visiting The Electric Cinema. The film overran but it didn't seem to be a problem (I had mentioned on confirmation that we were seeing a film first)
When we came to sit down the place was buzzing! A real fun atmosphere.
My husband has a gluten intolerance so the waitress asked the chef to have a quick chat with him to see what/what he couldn't eat on the menu. Both were really helpful.
The burgers and chips were delicious - really tasty.
We hope to visit again soon.
