Only observation would be that the bruchetta could have been warm bread and topping as it was to oily and cold. Main courses were delicious.
Main courses only basic pub grub standard but puddings very good
We were the only couple there which, to begin with, was lovely. however, there was no music or background noise so we felt as though we couldn’t have a nice conversation without it being listened to.
Great food and nice staff. Restaurant pretty empty but with some healthier choices than the local pubs.
Food itself was good but service almost non-existent. 10 minutes to get seated. Long waits between orders. Mistakes with food and bill. No attempts to make things right.
Advised Chicken and Chorizo was good choice and not disappointed. Second time visiting in two days and food was excellent
Great food, very tasty, staff really attentive. Lovely atmosphere
Good service. Didnt stay at the hotel. And was given the choice of bar or restaurant as not so busy.
Given the choice between seating.
Waiters were fab, polite and quick.
Food was good for value, very tasty maybe needed some vegetables.
Overall would definitely recommend.
It was fairly above average hotel fare. That said, it was enjoyable.
We were not told it was card payment only and we only had cash and we felt really embarrassed as we felt we were in wrong for wanting to pay in cash and the steak was cooked medium/rare instead of well done
A good restaurant hampered only be the reduced menu and no alcoholic drinks, due to Covid. Good social distancing with the tables and staff in masks so I felt very safe.
I ordered the Whiskey Chicken and it was delicious. The mushrooms were amazing. I had a side of potatoes as well. Turkish delight for dessert was unusual but tasty. Good service.
The service was fine no waiting, staff friendly, food lovely and good value with unexpected extras of tea/coffee and mince pies only downside was restaurant area was not busy
Handy if staying in the hotel, although service not the quickest
Without a doubt the worst service ever experienced at a restaurant. From forgetting to take initial drink orders, the afternoon steadily went from bad to worse to the point we could only laugh. Waiting staff seemed to lack the most basic training; taking orders wrong, being rude to one of the group and handing over unopened drinks bottles when they finally arrived. Starters served over a 30 minute period between the group then mains served before plates were cleared. Mains served scattered over an hour period with 3 dishes having to be returned to the kitchen to be redone. One to be avoided.
Booked on line for 4 open table. When son and his fiancé arrived before us they were rudely turned away. Never had a chance to eat there. Went to a restaurant a few doors down they were polite and their food was delicious,
Some of the food was good, but some was disappointing, some served too cold and a confusing menu covering options for meals and snacks all day, rather than evening meal. Did not meet the expectations expected in a four star rated hotel. The waiting staff were very good.
Food and service was lovely. Wedding party going back and forward through restaurant area was a bit annoying. A separate route to the loos or loos nearer function area would resolve this as well as separate smoking access.
Family get together.
There were very few customers in the restaurant however the time for our food to be delivered to the table was astounding. Luckily we were the only table on arrival as the time to wait would have left us giving the lunch a miss.
Would not return to this restaurant due to poor service. Waited almost an hour for our food to be served even though the restaurant was not busy. Wait for our desert course was also far too long.
Table booking was for 5 but no such table ready on arrival - staff required to push two tables together to accommodate. Poor poor poor.
Good freshly cooked food. Portion sizes about right. Quite a few healthy options. Service excellent.
Food was cold not great taste and quality of food poor
Restaurant was very busy when I arrived and had to wait ten minutes before being served. We had three courses and a bottle of house wine for £40. They had a good choice of all three courses. I had salmon croquettes which were lovely followed by crayfish linguine and the portion was huge. I couldn’t finish it so declined dessert.
Pink Door is my favourite Italian restaurant in Seattle , my favorite meal is the fresh Pasta Bolognese
Good service, good ambiance.Dishes are just so-so.
We had the Dine with wine. Very good value for money The food was really excellent and the house was was lovely. Tasty and very well presented. Decent choice of dishes as well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Polite but not overbearing.
Had a lovely dinner for our Anniversary here. Decided to try the restaurant when the price fixe wine and dinner for 2 menu popped up in my search for a restaurant in Edinburgh. The house red did not disappoint and our dinner was quite nice. I had a salmon and polenta dish that was listed as “Cajun”. It was very nice — but not sure where the “Cajun” was (we are from Florida). While this might not seem important: we had been cold all day and the restaurant was warm and cozy. That made my husband happy. Overall, a lovely evening!
Service was terrible even although they only had another 2 tables of 2 in. We had to ask to order a drink. Soft drinks required a bottle opener to be able to consume and we had to ask for one! Had preordered food as we were on our lunch break from the office but still took too long to arrive. I was also hit in the head with the corner of a very sharp square plate. Overall score would have been one star but the food pushed it up to two as it was actually quite good. Would never return and never recommend.
Nice and quiet for business meeting close to the station and staff were very attentive and accommodating.
Excellent food, value for money and wonderful customer service thank you.
Waiting staff were so helpful and polite. Food was lovely and we had an area all to ourselves for Mum’s 80th celebrations.
The restaurant is located in a very nice hotel a short walk from the Royal Mile. The three course option with a bottle of wine is a superb offer. The food was well cooked and beautifully presented and the service and setting were both very good.
An excellent venue for a meal for nine old friends: good menu, excellent and friendly service; very good value
Excellent restaurant, attentive staff, great food. It was our sons birthday and fully accommodated our request to bring out his birthday cake after the meal. Many thanks. Highly recommended.
Decided to celebrate my birthday at Elliot’s and everything was absolutely fantastic! From food to service! Worth the money and experience, truly recommend!
Great value 2 course for £15. Service very good. Food excellent
Very friendly staff and excellent cuisine. My first visit to your restaurant on a recommendation. Looking forward to visiting again.
We booked this restaurant with just 2 hours notice for our party of 10. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and service were excellent. We had a private room just off of the main restaurant which suited our party perfectly. We had the wine and dine deal which was exceptional value.
They screwed up the bill- charging us for bread when only one person ordered it. Then said that taking the bread (£3.5) off the bill would be cheaper than amending the fix price cost (charged at £20/person when my meal was £15/person). £5 is more than £3.50. Food was delivered at different times and hard to reach wait staff. It’s not bad but I also get why the rating is so low on 4sq.
