Food ok but slow service, neighbouring table very unhappy with slow service. Food ok but choice poor. Breakfast again slow. Had to ask for coffee three times. Beans and mushrooms partly warm. Expensive for the level of service.

My friends and I had the following Starters Cullen Skink and Tempura sticky chicken. The Cullen Skink was extremely thick and could be eaten with a fork, it should be soup like friend didnt enjoy that. The Tempura chicken was very nice we enjoyed it. We had Scottish Burger next, very big portion but the burger was very dense two of us couldnt finish the burger. The service was excellent the waitresses attentive and surroundings lovely. We would go back but make different choices.

The waitstaff explained the difference between the two and three course meals. We went with 2 two course meals. My partner chose a starter I chose desert and we had different entrees. The starter was Goats cheese & rocket bruschetta, which we split. We thought it was not delicious but enough for a lunch. My partner had the Scottish burger, I had the Battered Haddock, both were cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared the Strawberry crepes, which were delicious. The servings were huge but the cost was very reasonable.

The menu is confusing with no published prices. The staff must explain which items are available via self service and which are from the kitchen. Our server did not explain this to us and we sat waiting for our food that never arrived. The pricing is also ridiculously expensive. I ordered a bowl of porridge (oatmeal). It cost 17.50. The cafe next door has the same meal (except better) for 4.50. We did not return for other meals since there are several better dining options nearby.

Wonderful find. The food was excellent, good portion size and very affordable. Attentive staff with big smiles and a welcoming demeanour without being intrusive. We really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back. Thanks again.

Firstly my partner asked for a fish dish, not available at eight 'o' clock! I asked for the other fish dish on the menu, not available? Ordered two starters only one arrived. Waited while my partner ate their starter. Partner had finished their starter then mine arrived; asked the waitress to take it away; didn't look nice anyway. Only other thing on the menu were burgers and pizza; thought it was a restaurant not a fast food outlet. Had a pizza and ate the topping. Only other interest thing was the mouse running around.

A beautiful restaurant connected to the Apex hotel. The food was average and service was cheerful. They were out of many items on the menu. Compared to the restaurants close by, it was a disappointment.

We booked a reservation for Tony’s Road Trip and we’re excited to try the unique cuisine. We were seated quickly, however no one explained that the menu was tapas style, so when another waiter came to take our order we were confused with the process. The food was unique, but not anything outstanding. We were sat in a back corner, where very few staff were visible. We waited over 45 minutes for anyone from the wait staff to come over after we had finished our meal. We ordered the churros for dessert, however it took another 45 minutes for them to come out. When we got them the inside of the churros was raw. After another 10 minutes when the waiter returned he was apologetic and removed them from our bill. Overall we spent just under 2 hours for a dinner that should not have been that long. A lot of our time in the restaurant was waiting for someone to come by to help. The gentleman that seated us and helped us in the end was nice and professional. The woman who served us was inattentive and slow. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Such a nice meal! Service was friendly and attentive. The menu had a great selection of meat, fish and veggie dishes. The fish tacos were so tasty! and the dossa chaat was delicious- full of flavour. Great value for money meal and really enjoyed it. Would love to go back.

Very disappointing. Food was over spiced, contrary to the waiters description. Salad was the most spicy and was told not spicy at all. When we asked for plain rice to offset the spice we were told we would be charged for fries. Added a service charge but there was no service, take order bring food, bring check. We wanted more beer and wine but no waiters or waitresses to be found. We were actually looking forward to this meal. Left the restaurant feeling very disappointed and taken advantage of. Not returning.

Very disappointed - specially as it was my choice. I have been to Elliot’s on several occasions and had no complaints but Tony Singh’s was something else again. The food left a lot to be desired and the service was slow. I would recommend Elliot’s but not if they hand it over to other establishments to run.

There is a quieter environment than many restaurants which was much appreciated. There was a slow approach to service which made a very relaxed pace for dining. Again appreciated. Serving staff helpful and able and willing to explain ingredients. The food was nice with lively flavours..however a disappointing offer for the gluten intolerant member of our party. A great range of flavoured beers too...and appropriate ones matched to dishes. A good meal was enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere.

Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Menu had a good street food vibe (Indian with a modern take, including influences of Scotland). Reminded me of my childhood food from my mum comforting but definitely with a twist. Enough choice for everyone and reasonably priced. (all served in a timely fashion and hot but not overly spicy, great for all pallettes). Food portions were good, very tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend a visit and if I lived locally would go more often. Thank you all.

I was very disappointed with the whole experience, despite being an admirer of Tony Singh. The restaurant wasn’t busy for a Saturday lunchtime. It’s a hotel dining room but some of the tables still had breakfast preserve stands in place. We ordered drinks which took a while to arrive. However, only my husband’s drink was brought. I was asked if I had ordered a drink (I had), but there was no record of it. We placed our food order and made it clear we wanted to share. When our haggis pakora arrived they were served on a tea plate with three containers of chutney. No plates for each of us to use. Pakora is hard to eat from one plate in the middle of the table when it is very crumbly and can’t be eaten without cutlery. We had to ask for that too! I ordered fish tacos which were lukewarm and very lightly spiced. I’ve eaten better. The slaw was delicious, but the taco rack held everything, including the slaw. No other plate was brought so it was hard to access the slaw from the rack. When we asked for our bill, we waited for a long time but no one came. When I went to the restroom the server was talking to another member of staff. Overall, I found the service poor and the food indifferent. I won’t be back.

Very disappointed. Was so looking forward to this new venture. Brought us a dish we didn't order. Fish tacos, luke warm. Then the curry of the day was cold and gelatanous. Was sent back and to be fair we were not charged for that particular dish. Haggis pakora was hunt the haggis and very dry. All in all very disappointing. Would have to say staff very pleasant and courteous though

Re Tony Singhs PopUP We had one GF person in our party and I checked before booking with Tony which Items were Gf. On arrival we were told that Haggis Pakora was not Gluten free. This was a disappointment as we had told how superb these were and were so looking forward to have them. The menu was therefore very restricted for my daughter. The Dosa was lovely but this two Fish Pakoras very small although tasty. The rainbow coloured poppadoms on the Chicken Tikka were tasteless. However the restaurant itself was very comfortable.

The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and attentative. We enjoyed the experince. The restaurant was clean and well run although the tables and chairs were beginning to look a bit tired although this didn't spoil our dining experince.

The food was excellent and probably the best meal I've had for a while, definitely can't fault the food. Unfortunately the service wasn't as good. The waitress couldn't understand what I was asking about the small plates so I gave up and ordered something else. When ordering our drinks after asking for an diet Irn Bru 3 times I pointed to it on the menu. My drink arrived and I had to get it changed as I got a normal Irn Bru. My sweet arrived and I had to call the waitress over to say was this not supposed to come with Ice Cream. I got a scoop in a small dish. We had to ask for dessert spoons as the waiter forgot to bring them. Unfortunately I think there was quite a communication/language problem and not just at our table. Such a shame as the food was excellent 😕

The squid starter was very sad looking - dry and unappealing with an unknown yellow mayonnaise. Bruschetta and haggis were okay. My main steak was weirdly wet ? The peppercorn sauce was clearly not freshly made and hardly a peppercorn in sight - tasted like gravy. Baked cheesecake also tasted shop bought I could have bought the same meal in Sainsburys and cooked it better myself Sorry!
