About Permanently Closed - Emile's
This restaurant is permanently closed. A local favourite, hidden away from the main streets of Putney on residential Felsham Road, Emiles is the epitome of the hidden restaurant gem. Refined and sophisticated but with a friendly, relaxed ambience Emiles plays host to a mix of guests typical of the local area – from hip young professionals to well-to-do families. The simplicity of the interior is complemented by Emiles’ unfussy but sleek European inspired menu – presented to each diner at their table on a large blackboard by the eternally polite and welcoming waiters. Changing seasonally the menu uses the very best of well sourced produce in sophisticated dishes with a distinct touch of French finesse.

Emile's - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
I am so sad this delightful little restaurant is closing. It has long held the standard for me of high quality food at a very reasonable price. The wine list is magnificent too. The staff are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I, along with Putney's restaurant scene will miss Emil and his team. Thank you for the wonderful meals and memories.
After many attempts to try out Emiles we finally made it. I can only echo everything positive that has been previously said. Emile is lovely, warm and welcoming. The food is plate licking good. Wine is resonably priced. I will be going back as frequently as I possible can! Absolutely love it! What a gem.
Another absolutely beautiful meal at Emiles. As usual a friendly and warm welcome, excellent service and menu advice, divine food, and relaxing ambiance.
I would recommend this restaurant to absolutely everyone, we've eaten here a number of times and its well worth the hours journey. You enter on your first time as a stranger and leave as a friend already looking forwards to your next visit. A thorough 10/10
Getting over the fact that Emile's looks like a converted front room, the venue lets the food do the talking! Ever changing menu, with seasonality at the forefront, the menu has a wide selection of dishes to tempt everyone, your only issue will be having to choose! All the food was perfectly cooked, delicious and pretty good value at £35 for three courses. Nice wine list with affordable options, unusual for the area, and very balanced across new and old world. Well worth a visit, and don't be put off by the unassuming outside!
About as perfect a local restaurant as anyone could want. A menu which is bursting with more dishes than is polite to want to eat in one meal, a wine list that is as rich as it is unpretentiously priced, and based on how they treat my coeliac wife, service levels that are worthy of a Michelin star. We will be back and the sooner the better.
Have lived in Putney for 9 months and wouldn't have known about this place were it not for coming across it on OpenTable. What a hidden gem! My new local favourite. The service was wonderful, food delicious (hard to choose - so many tasty options!) and we were given a great wine recommendation. Notable dishes were the cheese souffle, monkfish starter, beef wellington and duck sausages. We were still talking about it the next day and can't wait to go back!
Emile always makes the effort to say hello, and they really took effort in accommodating my request of a table for my mother who recently had an operation. This is very much a friendly neighbourhood restaurant but dont let that keep you away if it's your first time or not a local. Menu is great and everything we ordered was fabulous. The only slight negative for me is that the vibe is quite low key, it's quite quiet, which for most guests is what they're looking for. My family are loud though so I normally go somewhere with a bit more background music, although we felt very comfortable
This restaurant is fantastic. The staff are friendly and welcoming and help to set a lovely environment in which to relax and enjoy and evening out. The food is absolutely delicious and incredible value. There is all also a good and reasonably priced wine list. I would highly recommend Emile's.
