I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's small and quiet. The service is exceptional and you feel like a dinner guest in Italy. The food is very yummy- the pastas are delicious and the wine is good, too!
We love this little gem on the upper east side of New York. Great Italian food and the personal service is always first rate. It's easy to get to by subway. A must to experience when in New York!
Lovely little place that feels different than your typical night out in the neighborhood.
Excellent food and service as always. They also serve Terra Di Tufi which I can’t find anywhere else.
Once again Erminia did not disappoint. Great food served by an incredible staff in a quiet, romantic setting. Erminia is truly a gem on the Upper East Side.
Surprisingly beautiful and great food - such a gem!
Best meatballs I have ever had!
Small and romantic setting. Limited number of tables makes for personal service by all. My family enjoyed the entire experience. Food was excellent with the pasta tasting fresh and hand made. Cooked to perfection (I hate overcooked pasta, no problem here). Jose did a great job along with everybody else there, I wish I had learned the names of all of them because they deserve recognition for running such a unique place. Would visit over and over if we lived in Manhattan.
Amazing experience, the candle lit room is incredible for a romantic evening. The staff is incredible and accommodating.
Erminias was fabulous as always. Every time I go to NY, it is on the list. Hard to find anything better.
Amazing on every level !!
We are never disappointed when we dine at Erminia Ristorante. For the entree I had the Papperdelle special. It was fabulous. My husband ordered the branzino and commented "it was the best branzino he has ever eaten." We would definitely recommend Erminia to our friends and family.
Girls night out, lovely evening with friends and food was fabulous.
Thus place is renowned for its ambiance, but the Caesar, Filet of Sole in lemon & caper sauce, and angel hair pasta in olive oil sauce were all world class.
Came here for a date and was not disappointed. The ambiance was so nice, very quiet, dim lights. Very romantic and the food was delicious. My lady friend loved every second of it and the service was superb
I took my older teens, and we had a blast, but ideal for couples.
Lovely service, very good food, and a very special atmosphere.
I went here with one of my best friends and on a date. Perfect for both. A romantic, dark, cozy restaurant that has some of the best food.
A lovely dining experience.
Will return on my next trip to NYC.
Went for an anniversary dinner with my wife and everything was perfect. The staff (Bruno and Juan) were very professional and welcoming. The food and wine were beyond delicious. But the best feature about this restaurant is its atmosphere. It feels like you're in a small wooden cabin in the woods, lighten by a few bulbs and candles. You will need a reservation for this place, as we did. Every table was reserved by the time we got there (including ours, of course). The only thing that could improve is the music they play. Most of the night it was OK, but then it suddenly changed to pop hits, which broke the atmosphere a bit.
Very romantic. It was our anniversary. Food is excellent and made from scratch 👌🏻 exactly the way it should be!
Always a great meal at Erminia and don;t forget those yummy specials!!
Great food. Civilized dining experience. The homemade cannolis were a poem!
Dine by candlelight in this dimly lit restaurant on the upper east side. Attentive service, nice reasonably priced selection of wines but no liquor if you’re a martini kind of guy. Ample choice of apps and mains. Non hip, mature clientele.
Lovely! Fresh true Italian food. A hidden gem.
Been here twice and both times have been next level amazing. Food is exquisite, service is old school professional, ambience is romantic. All in all one of my favourite places in NY!
Wine was great. Ambience was nice, intimate and romantic. However, what I really came for was the food - I surprised my boyfriend with an intimate birthday dinner, however, the main meal kind of fell flat for me. My boyfriends dish tasted good but mine (it was a special that day - a spaghetti with a spicy sauce and lobster/jumbo shrimps) - the sauce was not spicy and was completely lacking in flavor as was the lobster. I wanted to treat us to a nice and fancy dinner , since this is out of my spending budget, but I was disappointed to have paid $35 for a dish that did not meet such high expectations. Overall the vibe of the place was great and the service was on par but I think the food needs to amped up to the next level or prices changed.
Bruno and his staff consistently serve wonderful food and wine in a lovely, warm setting.
Birthday dinner - romantic and quiet. Excellent service, delicious food, good wine, small romantic spot.
My husband and I went here on our honeymoon. It was the most romantic restaurant I’ve ever been too! It is a must! I loved everything about it!
I've been wanting to try this place for a while ever since I finally discovered it recently after living on the UES for almost 10 years. It was amazing! The food was insane. I cannot wait to go back. I was with people who are VERY hard to impress and have a thousand favorite Italian spots but they were ecstatic with the food. 5 stars all the way! Also the staff is amazing!
What a find! It's a tiny spot tucked in from the corner. Very unassuming sign so you might walk past it. Once inside it is very charming. Host and staff are lovely. Good prices on wine list. Food is excellent.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food at reasonable prices. If you’re trying to escape the loud noise that is part of the ambience of so many places these days, this is the ideal spot!
Excellent food, service and setting.
Wonderful cozy dining on great food and service!
Super cute place but it is very small. Food was amazing no complaints. Very cute ambiance but definitely wouldn’t recommend for a party more than 2.
Always superb. Great food, ambiance and service.
We had a wonderful time and especially loved (in addition to the meal itself) the fact that we were able to sit and sit without being pressured to order or, once we did, to eat quickly. The table was ours for the evening and it was a special one indeed—such a beautiful and cozy gem.
We had a lovely, quiet dinner - our last in a 4-day long vacation in New York. The subdued intimacy of this very small restaurant allowed us to unwind and enjoy ourselves tremendously.
The menu is not extensive, but the quality of the food, at some of the most reasonable prices we saw during our stay, and the hospitality of the service staff were both welcome and truly appreciated.
