We had a great time eating the rather 'spicy' dinner at Evelyn's. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine, perfect music choises and amazing service! We fully recommend it!

6 times mark up on an extremely average bottle of Chilean Merlot to £31 simply comes across as greedy , and has certainly tainted my opinion of a restaurant I have used a recommended before . Hawksmoor Is probably the most guilty of wine mark up at 3 to 4 times of the cost , but this is something else

I went here for breakfast with a friend, the staff are all super super friendly and the service was quick. The food was amazing, too. Perfect cosy place in the middle of Manchester!

I attended Evelyn's with 6 of my colleagues for a team night out whilst we were on a training event in Manchester. The restaurant wasn't large but seating was comfortably laid out so as not to be intrusive to other diners and they provided a table large enough to accommodate the group.

We were initially a little disappointed that a couple of the cocktail options were not available however this was soon forgotten when our food arrived - which it did in a very reasonable time frame given the size of our party and the fact that all the meals were freshly made and all delivered to the table at the same time and still hot.

We had various different dishes but the overwhelming feedback from all of us was that the food was truly delicious and for some of us the best we have had for a while. The success of the main course was followed up by equally delicious desserts.

To take service one step further we had been enquiring about a dish on show which had been produced as a special dessert for the next day and to our surprise on finishing our desserts the chef treated us to a group sharing portion to try.

I can honestly say that this restaurant is well worth a visit and myself and my colleagues would definitely visit again if we find ourselves in the area.

Overall great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Beautiful delicious healthy food with great vegan and gluten free options. Good place for brunch or an evening meal. The lavender cocktail was great. The look of the place is very tasteful, light and green with lots of plants, I love it. Thank you for having us.

Second visit to Evelyn’s this month, enjoyed it so much the first time that we took 12yo daughter and her friend for treat meal before Ed Sheeran concert. Fab, friendly service, lovely decor and super food and drinks! Loved the yellow brick road cocktail. Will definitely go again

We both went for the vegetarian Sunday Roast but we though it was massively disappointing and overpriced. You just got a plate with a few veg on. No alternative to meat, so no protein. Not even gravy or Yorkshire Pudding, as they were made with meat stock. So not what either of us would even call a Sunday Roast. And the drinks were overpriced too.

Loved it - table was a bit late but the staff were incredibly apologetic and gave us the first round of drinks for free. Delicious food!

Evelyn's Cafe Bar is a gem in Manchester's Northern Quarter. It's light, spacious enough for quiet conversation, and full of plants and jars of colourful spices. It's been decorated with thought and care. There was water on each table and mint leaves and cucumber had been added --- a nice touch which warmed me as it showed they weren't just after our money --- rare these days. We went for lunch and had the scrambled tofu on toasted sour dough, which was absolutely delicious; loads of flavour. It was listed as a small plate but it was quite filling. Dessert was a chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream. WOW! I'm a pudding person so the warm brownie (crunchy on the outside and gooey in the middle) and delicious ice cream were wonderful. Service was friendly without being intrusive and we didn't feel rushed. A lovely afternoon. Definitely one of my top places for lunch and I can't wait for another visit.

Stopped by for Sunday roast with friends. We’ve eaten here before for dinner and brunch and always enjoy the ambience. Food always tasty and the roast was too. Lamb was more like shredded lamb in gravy but tasty all the same. Only slight issue, it seemed to take a long time for us to be served (we’ve had this with drinks before).service isn’t the quickest but friendly nonetheless. The cocktails are lovely.

Very nice food and really nice décor inside the restaurant. Felt the service was good but a little rushed, and table was too small for 5 of us considering we had booked over a week in advance. Good vegetarian options.

I went to Evelyn's for a lunch catch-up with my friend on Saturday and was really impressed with the restaurant. It's beautifully decorated, light and airy. The service was incredible - our waiter was so friendly and possibly even the manager.
The food was really fresh and packed with flavour - I'd highly recommend a visit!

We went because of reviews and was not disappointed. The Korean Roll (breakfast) was absolutely superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful and took time to explain the menu to our 12 year old daughter. Would highly recommend and the prices are very reasonable.

A casual brunch restaurant with smaller breakfast and larger sunday roast dishes. Caters to a wider group and tables accommodate up to 8 people, though noted it is quite busy (especially weekends) so highly recommend booking in advance.

Pretty restaurant with nice interiors. Food was average, for our group some dishes were ok and others were on-par acceptable. Some of us had overcooked eggs (not great for a brunch restaurant!) and others had perfectly poached eggs. Fried dishes (chicken wings and fries) were dry and seemed to have been left out then flash fried quickly just before serving up, so not the best.

Service on the whole was basic, not super friendly but at times quite direct and abrupt.
