Great restaurant. I found this place in a list of top100 restaurants in the UK. Having been there I can see why it was so highly rated.

First time there and arrived a bit concerned as it was to celebrate a 60th birthday and so really wanted it to be good. Need not have worried - we had a superb meal and wonderful service. Couldn't really have been better. Scallop starter was sublime...followed by delicious duck leg dish with an array of interesting and very yummy ingredients.

Fanny Trollope's is fine dining with a menu that has a great choice and dishes as delicious as any celebrated and award winning chef but at a fraction of the price. The bistro is chic and informal with a good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Lovely selection of food, something a bit different but not too different for those who are a bit less adventurous...like my hubby! Small and cosy and very friendly staff. Would recommend to my friends and hop to visit again soon.

Lovely meal for 2 from the Early Bird Menu. Fish was delicious and just melted in the mouth. Cosy space did mean a wobble with a tonic bottle but was rescued well. See you again soon.

We visited Glasgow for the weekend to see friends and family as well as going to The Hydro to see Still Game on the Saturday, and Fanny Trollopes was recommended to us. What a great place! The staff were great and the food was delicious. Only slight downside was to find out at the end of the meal that the card machine hadn’t been working all day. Yes there was a cash point across the road, but if someone wanted to pay on their credit card and not debit card, then this could have been embarrassing for them. It didn’t spoil it for us though – we will return!!!

We took my parents for a meal pre show at the SECC (matinee). The welcome was lovely, staff very friendly. Menu was seasonal with enough options to suit most palettes without being over long. They were flexible on changing a few things on the plates (butter mash in stead of curry mash for example) - nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money at two course for £16. I personally loved the Coley dish as a main - our group also enjoyed the venison sausages and a sea bream dish with king prawns. The ginger bread parfait was ridiculously good...would go back for that alone! Thank you for a really enjoyable meal, great staff, great price point and great quality of food!

Have to say that I had been looking forward to trying FT's for a while .We were made very welcome and had a few laughs throughout the evening with the staff who were very helpful . I thought the food was first class and that was echoed by the rest of my party. I decided against a starter but my friend had the Black pudding risotto which when I tried it made me extremely envious .I wont miss out on it next time, I will certainly be back .

Service was a bit lacking. Waiter just put stuff in the middle of the table because he couldn't remember who ordered what. There was only 4 of us. Forgot our side. Which was not worth the wait. No cheese in the macncheese. No coconut in the bland duck dish and no seasoning on the starters. My mum was happy but I had mentioned it being her 70th birthday when booking and no one said or did anything about it. The coffee was nice and we liked the coconut ice cream. Bill not clear either....we still had a nice time.

A couple of days in Glasgow and we looked up best places to eat - this came in near the top of the list and it deserves to. The food was excellent - we had a hard job choosing as there was nothing that didn't take our fancy. I had haggis soup - it was Burns night, absolutely delicious, my husband a black pudding risotto. For mains a duck leg curry for him and pork Wellington for me, again perfect. Unfortunately no space for pudding. The place was buzzing and Harry was the only person waiting tables but what a job he did - excellent service and very friendly. It's not a fancy place by any means but it is well worth the trip out to Finnieston from the centre of Glasgow. We will definitely return next time we make it to Glasgow. Oh, and price - very reasonable for such quality. £55 for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 large glasses of wine.

We were in glasgow for a flying visit this weekend from Ireland. We are so glad we ate at this restaraunt. The food was so good. Our favourites were the black pudding risotto and the chorizo scotch egg. Service was excellent, the waiter so friendly. If we are back in Glasgow again we will deffinately dine here and will recommend to anyone we know planning a trip.

Fabulous meal and service once again. This was our 3 visit and we certainly weren't disappointed. There was a slight incident with the pepper pot but the staff dealt with it efficiently and with a minimum of fuss and didn't charge us for the ruined meal. What more can you ask for will definitely be back.
