With a wide range of local and sustainable suppliers at our doorstep, from our Lobsters and Crabs at Belhaven Lobsters in Dunbar to our vegetables and Native breed meats at Free Company Farm in Balerno we’re lucky to be taking advantage of Scotlands unique and unrivalled natural larder. Cooking over coals helps add an extra layer of flavour to whatever we’re cooking on them, it’s more intuitive and engaging as cooks and we feel like that comes through on the plate. Tasting menus are our bread and butter but we also offer a pre fixe three course.

Skua is a small basement restaurant and bar located on St Stephen street in Stockbridge. The food menu, led by Head Chef James Aikman, is seasonal, refined, well balanced and innovative. Drawing from a large library of pickled and fermented produce year round the kitchen team offers dishes that punch well above their weight and are produced in an exceptionally small space, visible to guests as they enter the restaurant.     The food was absolutely amazing, I had beetroot & mushroom Wellington, it was beautifully presented and delicious, I then had the toad escape which was to die for ,would throughly recommend dining here ,staff were lovely the decor was stunning will definitely be back soon

    Very tasty lunch at Cold Townhouse. We booked the terrace as the sun was shining. View of the terrace slightly obscured by tattoo seating, which did not detract from experience. Staff were extremely friendly & courteous. Service was very good. I had chicken caesar salad which was extremely tasty. My husband had The Grange pizza,which was demolished with gusto. Excellent lunch & great venue for a sunny day.

    Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Some of the best Indian food I have tasted. So much flavour and richness with some dishes being a little different from the normally, which is welcome!

    We had the 10 course tasting menu and it was amazing. Especially the scallops dish and the Isle of Wight tomato dish were fantastic. Great service from our two waiters made it a really great experience.
