Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Brookland / Brentwood

We love Pacci’s a local independently owned small restaurant. Originally known for its Neapolitan pizza, which is still great, now encompasses a basic Italian menu with daily specials. Our party enjoyed lasagna- “flavorful meat, delicious ricotta, maybe a little too much red sauce”, calzone- “good dough, nice amount of cheese and meat, could have benefitted from more sauce or a separate dipping sauce”, and picatta style barrumundi- “moist flavorful fish, light lemon butter sauce with plenty of capers.” Service was prompt and friendly, not intrusive, could have a little more attentive.

We had a great table for our group of 7. The service was excellent by two employees who were helpful and very pleasant. They took wonderful care of us, especially the toddler we had with us! We all had pizzas and salads and they were delicious. Thank you Al Dente. You are our favorite spot when visiting our relatives in your neighborhood.

My clumsy fingers have somehow erased my previous detailed song of praise. Sorry, but I have to be quicker this time. Morgan was our server and we had many questions and discussions - we could not throw her. Everything she recommended after listening to us EXCEEDED expectations. (We stayed so long her break came before dessert so her manager kindly stepped in and recommended a dessert I would normally not have considered - SO good!). We felt lucky to get to sit in a quiet but jolly atmosphere and catch up and laugh. Looking forward to next time!!!

Food and service was amazing. Exceeded our expectations. Mr. Zelaya was very attentive. We will definitely be back!
